Lee, NH – Jay Sands of Hampton continued his impressive 2015 Late Model Sportsman campaign at Lee USA Speedway on Friday night, capturing the win in the prestigious Lance Davis Memorial 50-lapper for the R & R Public Wholesale-sponsored division. Sands was just one of eight feature winners on another exciting night of racing action at New Hampshire’s “Center of Speed”.

Polesitter Nate Leavitt of Buxton, ME battled side by side with Newmarket’s Bryan Kruczek for the first several laps before finally giving up the lead and dropping back a couple of spots. MonadnockMacMichael Celebrate Three Week Win Streak
By Dan Byrne

WINCHESTER—It was another fine evening for racing this past Saturday at the high banks of Monadnock Speedway as the Pro 4 Modified series came to town to join with the regular Whelen All-American divisions. Track owner Larry Cirillo had Ricky Craven’s old Winston #1 racecar out for some joy laps along with a few lucky fans in the passenger seat before the festivities kicked off for the night.

The story of the night came in the Sportsman Modified division as Scott MacMichael (2nd in points) closed the gap on leader Bill Kimball. Since encountering motor issues early this summer, MacMichael has seen a resurgence. With his 5th win of the year, third consecutive win in weekly action, he has his sights firmly set on Kimball and the points lead.

Shepard holds on to the points lead for another week despite Melvin Pierson’s win in the DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes

BRADFORD, VT – The Race Against Cancer Topless night sponsored by Dead River Co netted a nice chunk of change for this great nonprofit and some great exposed racing for the fans. Topless night means no wings for the Sprint Cars of New England and no roofs for the Sportsman Modifieds, any other car that can take their roof off is encouraged to do so, and several of the Limited Late Models and a Sportsman Coupe joined in the fun. Sorry Guys shirts were still required for all.

Adam Pierson claims back to back wins bragging the win in the USAC DMA Midgets at Albany Saratoga Friday night and then in the DIRTcar Bond Auto Parts Sportsman Modifieds Saturday night at the Ridge. Pierson took the lead away from rookie Steven Flint on lap twenty seven. Pierson would be challenged by Kevin Chaffee but would be unable to take away the win having to settle for the brides maid postion. TC Forward was your final victory lane visitor. Jordan Fornwalt came home in fourth with Steven Flint holding on to fifth his best finish of the year.
