Walpole, NH- The first half of the Granite State Pro Stock Series (GSPSS) 2014 season is complete, and Larry Gelinas has been on a tear. Gelinas has not finished outside of the top 4, with a win and three second place finishes in that stretch. He has fought a few bouts of adversity, recovering from a mid-race spin at Hudson in the Gate City Classic to come back through the field and take the checkers, and surviving at Star Speedway for the Star 100 as his car fell off the pace late in the race. G
Enter Dillon Moltz. Moltz sits 42 points behind Gelinas entering the JBH 100 at Monadnock Speedway this Saturday, August 9th. The driver of the RB Performance/Brackett Mechanical Chevrolet picked up a fifth place finish at the opener at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park, and talk of the youngster making huge waves in the series began. The Waterford, CT driver then went to Monadnock, and the bad luck bug bit Moltz. The no. 5 Chevrolet was involved in a couple of incidents, with Moltz ending up with a 17th place finish. At the Gate City Classic, Moltz had another fast car underneath him, leading some laps early, but couldn’t seal the deal and ended up 5th.

Waterford, CT (August 7, 2014) – In what has become a summer tradition for
motorsports enthusiasts across the northeast, Waterford Speedbowl hosts
the 7th annual Wings & Wheels event on Saturday. The popular event
combines the electrifying speeds of the fastest asphalt short track racing
machines across the country. Race fans will be treated to the thrill of
open-wheeled racing along with extraordinary speeds at the three-eighths
mile shoreline oval. The International Supermodified Association (ISMA),
Northeastern Midget Association (NEMA) and Valenti Modified Racing Series
all make stops on their summer tour, joining the Speedbowl’s own NASCAR
Whelen All-American Series SK Modified® and SK Light Modified divisions
for a unique pairing of race divisions.

Waterford Speedbowl Wild ‘n Wacky Wednesday 8/6 Results
Waterford, CT (August 6, 2014) – Waterford Speedbowl was back Wednesday
evening with another Wild ‘n Wacky motorsports program. Four race winners
reached Victory Lane, with Mitch Bombard of Willimantic leading the way
with an extra-distance X-Car victory. Mike Christopher Jr. of Wolcott
continued his dominance in the INEX Legend Cars, Anthony Marvin of
Colchester won the INEX Bandolero feature and Dave Yardley of Berlin
closed the night with a win in the Super X-Cars.

Call Before You Dig 811 Challenge to Crown Winners on CBYD 811 Night Aug. 8th at Stafford Motor Speedway
(Stafford Springs, CT)—When the green flag came out during the 43rd Annual NAPA Spring Sizzler back in April, it not only kicked off the race for the 2014 track championships at Stafford Motor Speedway, but it also kicked off the Call Before You Dig 811 Challenge. While drivers have been accumulating track championship points during the season, they have also been accumulating points for the CBYD 811 Challenge, which will award five drivers each with an $811 bonus from CBYD, for a total bonus of $4,055.
