South Plattsburgh, NY – Airborne Speedway promoter Mike Perrotte has announced plans to introduce a DIRTcar Modified Sportsman class as a weekly division in 2012.
“The DIRT Sportsman cars are the same as the Ernie’s Discount Tools Modifieds, except they will have 602 GM crate engines like our full-fendered J&S Steel Sportsmen,” Perrotte said.

Chester, VT – Joe Krawiec of Bristol, CT and Kevin Chaffee of Fairlee, VT spent the 2011 season as teammates on the Skip Matczak owned, Seals-It sponsored USAC DMA Midget team competing at Bear Ridge Speedway. They often battled for supremacy on the race track and now they’re competing for post season honors in the Vermont Motorsports Magazine Driver of the Year balloting.
