Scott Mulkern: PASS North Series
Beech Ridge Motor Speedway Race Report
SCARBOROUGH, Maine – Scott Mulkern of Falmouth, Maine, finished 15th in the PASS North Series season-opening PASS 150 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine, on Saturday, April 30. In less than 20 laps, Mulkern had gone from 15th starting spot all the way up to ninth. The car started to show signs of ill-handling in the second half of the race, though, and contact with another car in the late stages of the event broke something in the car’s steering as he held on for his final finishing position. The other Mulkern Racing entry, the No. 48 A.E. McKay Builders Chevrolet for Lonnie Sommerville, finished fourth in its PASS North Series debut.

RICHMOND, Va. — It happens every spring.
Just as surely as the azaleas bloom at Augusta National, Kyle Busch celebrates his birthday with a victory at Richmond International Raceway.
That has been the case for three years, at least, after Busch, who will turn 26 Monday, won Saturday night’s Crown Royal Presents 400 at the .75-mile track. The victory was Busch’s second in NASCAR’s Sprint Cup Series this season and the 21st of his career.

· Seven-time and defending champion Brian Hoar and his Rick Paya Motorsports team claimed the title in the 2011 pit stop contest.
· 47 ACT Late Model Tour cars attended practice at Thunder Road following the annual car show parade up Quarry Hill.

In no particular order Randy Potter, Jimmy Hebert, Scott Luce, Matt White, Brian Hoar, Cody Blake, Phil Scott, Nick Sweet, John Donahue, Quinny Welch, Dave Pembroke, Cris Michaud, Joey Laquerre, Jean-Paul Cyr, Brent Dragon, Jamie Fisher, Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. all managed to hit that range.
· There were no major accidents during the day’s practice and all the teams are expected to be back for tomorrow’s running of the 13th Annual Merchants Bank 150.
· Class day festivities begin at 1:00pm with the first ACT Late Model Tour heat race set to roll at 1:30pm. The Bond Auto Tiger Sportsmen, Allen Lumber Street Stocks and Junkyard Warriors will make for a full card of racing.
