Valenti Modified Racing Series Returns To Claremont Friday

vmrslogo1Canaan, NH. — It’s been four years since the Valenti Modified Racing Series last turned a wheel at Claremont Speedway, but the likes of Dwight Jarvis, Todd Patnode, Kirk Alexander, Russ Hersey, Mike Willis Jr, Matt Mead, and Donnie Lashua, are eager to ‘go home’ Friday night, July 10, when the Valenti Modified Racing Series returns to the famed New Hampshire speedway for the first time since 2011.

The Claremont track has been the site of much success for Jarvis with feature wins and championships. When the subject of Claremont comes up and it’s storied history over the last 42 years, the name Dwight Jarvis always pops up in conversation. He’ll be a fan favorite Friday night.

Sweet Eyes History in Vermont Governor’s Cup 150

fadrfsdvsxvBarre, VT – The VP Fuels Vermont Governor’s Cup 150 for Thunder Road’s American-Canadian Tour (ACT) Late Models takes the green this Thursday, July 9. Numerous former Thunder Road Champions and winners are expected to challenge for the victory in the special long-distance event, but Barre’s Nick Sweet will try to do one better and further cement his place in Governor’s Cup history.

Sweet has won three of the last five Vermont Governor’s Cups, including the most recent event in 2014. A fourth win on Thursday would tie Sweet with six-time ACT Pro Stock Tour Champion Robbie Crouch atop the all-time winner’s list.

LaDuc Returns to Devil’s Bowl Winner’s Circle in Dirt Track Special

WEST HAVEN, VT – Veteran stock car driver Tim LaDuc of Orwell, VT made a triumphant return to victory lane on Sunday, July 5, winning the WhistlePig Straight Rye Whiskey Independence Day Special at The Dirt Track at Devil’s Bowl Speedway. LaDuc ended a five-year victory drought and carried the checkered flag in the 50-lap Liberty Street Discount Beverage & Deli Sportsman Modified race after a race-long fight with Josh Sunn. Other winners on the night included Chris Donnelly, Dan Douville, Curtis Condon, and Jesse Durkee.
