Pasteryak and Twin 50’s Both Winners At Lee

vmrslogo1Chris Pasteryak’s 21 points garnered in the first half of the Valenti Modified Racing Series sanctioned ‘Stratham Tire 100,’ and 23 more points in the second 50-lap segment, put the two-time series champion in victory lane Friday night at Lee USA Speedway, Lee, NH.

The Jewett City, Connecticut driver, the fourth different competitor to win this season in four races, ended a four-year drought with the VMRS. Friday’s race was his seventh series win and his second at the Lee track. Pasteryak’s last series win was in 2011.

Criss, Branham Score Modified Victories at Airborne Park Speedway

aeaxczxdPLATTSBURGH, NY – Double features produced double excitement at Plattsburgh, NY’s Airborne Park Speedway on Saturday, June 20, with plenty of hometown representation in victory lane for the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series presented by Yandow Sales & Service and John Deere. The Modified, Renegade, and Mini-Modified divisions each ran a pair of feature races presented by Peru Federal Credit Union and Econo Lodge.

JIMMY CHILDS “OUTLAW MINI MADNESS” CHAMP AT WISCASSET

gdfbcvgSaturday was “Outlaw Mini Madness” at Wiscasset Speedway. Competitors from as far away as Florida came to participate in the seventy-five lap race. The group two division of racing was also on the agenda, featuring Late Model Sportsman, Strictly Streets, and Modified.

First on the track for the feature races were the Late Model Sportsman in a thirty-five lap event. Starting at the pole was the #00 of Alex Waltz. Beside him was the #6 of Chris Bowie. Behind was Tyler Robbins of the #34. When green flag racing began, Waltz sped ahead for the lead. Bowie fought back, and edged ahead of Waltz on the back stretch during lap one for the lead. Tyler Robbins took second coming out of turn four during lap four.

CHRIS KING WINS 50 LAP STREET STOCK FEATURE AT 95

fsdtsdgChris King of Burnham finally got the win he’s been looking for as he won the 50 lap Casella Waste Systems series race #2 at Speedway 95 Saturday night. King started fifth in the 12 car field, took the lead from Skowhegan’s Zach Audet on lap 19, and held off Frankfort’s Bob Seger Jr. for the win. Seger, who started the race in the fifth spot, spent the majority of the race trying to get past fourth place finisher Audet and third place finisher Alex Berry of Harrington to get in position to go for the win. Once past them, Seger was unable to close the gap to mount a serious challenge to King. Ellsworth’s Bradley Norris finished fifth in the caution free feature. King also won the 10 lap qualifier held earlier in the program.

Point Leader Helliwell Gets Third Win of Season in White Mountain 150

VLF_0547N. Woodstock, NH – Wayne Helliwell Jr. showed that it’s best to be lucky and good on Saturday night, winning the White Mountain 150 at White Mountain Motorsports Park.

The American-Canadian Tour (ACT) point leader was running third when Brandon Atkins and Eddie MacDonald tangled racing for the lead on lap 115 of the 150-lap event. Dover, NH’s Helliwell inherited the lead and then pulled away from rival Joey Polewarczyk Jr. for his third win of the season and 10th of his ACT career.
