have a win and a second place finish in the first 2 races of the 2011 season
and head into the May 13th NASCAR Whelen All-American Series program at

EVE OF DESTRUCTION GOES TO NEW HEIGHTS MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND

THE annual Eve of Destruction at the Thompson International Speedway will soar to new heights when David “The Bullet” Smith, known as the Human Cannonball, gets shot high into the air from a cannon. Smith, who has performed over five thousand times around the world, is the highest flying Human Cannonball in the world. SUNOCO MODIFIEDS TO BENEFIT FROM BIG DOLLAR INCREASE THIS THURSDAY AT THOMPSON
THOMPSON, CT. The Sunoco Modified division will see a big increase in their race pay off this Thursday thanks to LaFramboise Well Drilling and Water Service of Thompson. The winner of this week’s 30-lap main event will receive $2,000.00 for their efforts and just about everyone else will see additional money thanks to the local well drilling and water service company. This race, like all at Thompson, is open to any Sunoco Modified type car that races in Connecticut. (more…)
