CAR NUMBER REQUESTS FOR 2011 BEING ACCEPTED AT THOMPSON
THOMPSON, CT. Thompson International Speedway is accepting applications for car number renewals. For ease and convenience, the 2011 registration forms may be accessed from the front page of the Thompson web site.
As in previous years, any driver who secured track points with a registered car number will have until January 15, 2011 to renew that number. If the number is not renewed, it will then be assigned to the first person requesting the number. That determination is made by the date that each request is received at the Thompson Speedway office. If a number is being requested that was not used in the 2010 season, it will be awarded on a first come-first served basis. (more…)
STAFFORD SPEEDWAY’S “EARLY BIRD” SEASON TICKET DISCOUNTS SET TO EXPIRE
DECEMBER 15th
(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Motor Speedway 2011 Season Tickets are
available and on sale now, but time is running out to take advantage of the
track’s early bird discounts on all of its season ticket packages. After
December 15, all season tickets will increase in price. Season Ticket
options for the 2011 racing season at Stafford Motor Speedway include
Paddock Passes, Stadium Chair-Back Reserved, Top Row Reserved, General
Admission, and the Stafford Motor Speedway Kids Club. Each season ticket
option includes admission to all 2011 NASCAR and ISMA Racing events at

DUANE PROVOST WINS RELIABLE WELDING AND SPEED LIMITED LATE MDOEL ROOKIE OF
THE YEAR HONORS AT STAFFORD SPEEDWAY
(Stafford Springs, CT)—After five seasons in Stafford’s DARE Stock
division, Duane Provost made a successful transition to the Limited Late
Model division and he secured the Reliable Welding and Speed Rookie of the
Year title with 14 top-10 finishes in 21 starts with a best finish of 5th.
Heading into the 2010 season, Provost had five years of DARE Stock
experience at Stafford to lean on, but he quickly found out that he was
dealing with a totally different car than he was accustomed to in the DARE

MATT GALKO WINS RELIABLE WELDING AND SPEED SK LIGHT MODIFIED ROOKIE OF THE
YEAR HONORS AT STAFFORD SPEEDWAY
(Stafford Springs, CT)—For the second consecutive season, Stafford’s SK
Light Modified division saw a rookie driver win the track championship as
well as the Reliable Welding and Speed Rookie of the Year title. Matt Galko
followed Michael Gervais, Jr. in turning the feat, giving car owner Tim Rowe
his first championship as a car owner at Stafford. Galko was locked in a
season long duel with fellow rookie competitors Tommy Barrett, Jr. and Joey
Cipriano, III for both the track championship as well as the rookie title.
“You can only be Rookie of the Year once, so it was nice to win that award,”
said Galko. “Our goal at the beginning of the season was to win Rookie of
the Year, but we never figured that we would be able to win the championship
in our first season. Towards the middle of the season, Joey and Tommy were
both up there in the points, so we figured that we would have to win the
championship in order to win the Rookie of the Year.” (more…)
TIM FOGG WINS RELIABLE WELDING AND SPEED LATE MODEL ROOKIE OF THE YEAR HONORS AT STAFFORD SPEEDWAY
(Stafford Springs, CT)—After several years away from competition at
Stafford, former SK Light Modified competitor Tim Fogg returned to the Late
Model division this season and he captured the 2010 Reliable Welding and
Speed Rookie of the Year award. Fogg and the #51 Rollins Automotive team
made 7 starts this season with a best finish of 11th coming in the season
ending CARQUEST Fall Final event. (more…)
