No. Stonington, CT- The OTB Promotions team have announced an alliance with Al Lane’s “The Racing School”, for their September event, the Stock Car Road Race Challenge.
Entrants will be able to purchase a spot to compete in an 8-lap race at the Stock Car Road Race Challenge in spec Mazda Miatas, provided by “The Racing School”. This race will be added to the program, joining the Mr. Rooter New England Truck Series, North East Mini Stock Tour, North East Street Stock Tour, and Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park-legal Mini Stocks.

THOMPSON, CONN. – Officials from Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park (TSMP) announced this morning that the 2015 Championship Awards Banquet will be held at Mohegan Sun on Saturday, December 5, 2015. The change in venue is part of the facility’s 75 year anniversary celebration.

(Stafford Springs, CT)—With the return of Legend Cars to weekly racing at Stafford Speedway in 2015, one driver who is looking forward to the experience is Madison, CT native Devin O’Connell. O’Connell is the defending Allison Legacy Series champion who enjoyed a very successful 2-race stint in the Legend Cars division last season at Stafford. O’Connell won his very first start at Stafford and then was dueling for the lead in his second start before a flat tire eliminated him from the race. O’Connell also raced 6 seasons in the Wild Thing Karts on Monday nights and the combination of his mini mile track knowledge and a good car under him has all the potential for making a championship run in 2015 behind the wheel of the #43 Chatham Highlander Motel Coupe.

(Stafford Springs, CT)—When the green flag is unfurled on the 2015 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series season at Stafford Motor Speedway, drivers in the Late Model and Limited Late Model divisions will have extra incentive to drive their cars into NAPA Victory Lane each Friday night. Mr. Rooter has become the newest member of Stafford’s Contingency Program and they will furnish each Late Model and Limited Late Model feature winner with a $125 bonus.

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Jeremy Sorel came to Stafford Speedway in 2014 as a rookie not only to the track, but to modified competition as well. Sorel was a veteran of Late Model racing down south at Hickory and Greenville-Pickens but his lack of modified experience was never evident as he claimed two wins along with the track championship. Sorel will now look to repeat that rookie success as he will move his #77 Bill’s Repair Service team up to the SK Modified® ranks and challenge for SPAFCO Rookie of the Year honors.

(Stafford Springs, CT)—When the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour descends upon Stafford Motor Speedway on April 25-26 for the 44th Annual NAPA Auto Parts Spring Sizzler, there will be a new driver/owner combination in the field. Riverhead native Tom Rogers, Jr. has teamed up with car owner Bill Darrow for what they hope can turn into a full-time effort on the Tour for the 2015 season.
