Waterford Speedbowl 9/27 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Results

423423Waterford, CT (September 27, 2014) – The final Saturday night race event of the season was held at Waterford Speedbowl with a seven division race program on the card. In NASCAR Whelen All-American Series racing Keith Rocco of Berlin won the SK Modified® feature while Jason Palmer, also from Berlin, won the Valenti Auto Mall Late Model race. Ed Gertsch Jr. of East Haven returned to Victory Lane after a long hiatus in the Street Stocks, Ken Cassidy Jr. of Lisbon took the night’s Mini Stock race and Paul Buzel of Trumbull continued a hot streak in the SK Light Modifieds. Mike Christopher Jr. of Wolcott won another INEX Legend Cars feature and set a track record, while Taylor Bowser of Taunton, MA won in the visiting Mini Cup series event. The final event of the year takes place next Saturday and Sunday when the track hosts Finale Weekend headlined by the Valenti Modified Racing Series. A Friday practice session precedes the big event, which sees thirteen race divisions in action.

Preece & Butler Score NAPA Fall Final Wins At Stafford; Ted Christopher Clinches Record 9th Career SK Modified® Track Championship

31244455667(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Motor Speedway concluded its 2014 NASCAR racing season with feature events for the SK Modified® and Late Model divisions as part of its NAPA Auto Parts Fall Final Weekend. Ryan Preece scored his sixth win of the 2014 season in the SK Modified® feature, but Ted Christopher finished third after overcoming an early race penalty for contact on the track to clinch his record 9th career SK Modified® track championship at Stafford. Tom Butler scored a wire to wire victory in the 30-lap Late Model feature event while Adam Gray celebrated his second consecutive Late Model championship.

Kopcik, Arute, Marchese, LaMothe, Walker, Roberts, & Kammer Score NAPA Fall Final Saturday Feature Victories At Stafford Motor Speedway; Sorel, Hayes, & L’Etoile Clinch Track Championships

23134(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Motor Speedway kicked off its final race event of the 2014 season with feature events for its SK Light, Limited Late Model, and DARE Stock divisions, as well as twin feature events for the Rusty Wallace Racing Experience as part of the Saturday NAPA Auto Parts Fall Final Weekend festivities. Taking feature wins were Stephen Kopcik in the SK Light feature, David Arute in the Limited Late Model feature, Andy Marchese in the DARE Stock feature, Jordan LaMothe in the Legend Cars feature, Johnny Walker in the Paradiso-Muska DARE Stock Shoot-Out, and George Roberts and Steve Kammer in the twin Rusty Wallace Racing Experience feature events. Clinching track championships on the day were rookie Jeremy Sorel in the SK Lights, Andrew Hayes in the Ltd. Late Models, Frank L’Etoile, Jr. in the DARE Stocks, and Dana DiMatteo in the Legend Cars.

Waterford Speedbowl 9/20 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Results

13Waterford, CT (September 20, 2014) – Waterford Speedbowl returned to action after two weeks of wet weather halted its scheduled NASCAR Whelen All-American Series racing programs. First time winners for the year were the order of the night as three of the six events saw new faces in the winner’s circle. Diego Monahan of Quaker Hill led the way, picking up the SK Modified® victory in dramatic fashion. Anthony Ryan Jr. of Danbury and Pete Zaikarite of Niantic won the Valenti Auto Mall Late Model and Mini Stock races respectively, joining Monahan as first time winners on the year. Other victories went to Al Stone III of Durham in the Street Stocks, Paul Buzel of Trumbull in the SK Light Modifieds, and Mike Christopher Jr. of Wolcott in an extra-distance INEX Legend Cars race.
