CARQUEST CHAMPIONS FOR CHARITIES DRIVER SPOTLIGHT: RON MIDFORD, JR.

StaffordStafford Motor Speedway has again lined up an
impressive field of current and former open wheel champions for its CARQUEST
Champions For Charities Event as part of CARQUEST Super Saturday on June
30th. During the coming weeks, SMS will offer a profile on each of its
championship winning drivers and the charity they will be racing for and
this week’s CARQUEST Champions For Charities spotlight falls on 2-time Wild
Thing Kart Senior Champ Champion (2010, 2011) Ron Midford, Jr., who will be
racing to help support The Greg Caron Family Fund.

On November 11, 2011, Ellington native Greg Caron, while serving a second
tour with his Marine Corp unit, lost both of his legs, the tip of his
finger, and broke his collar bone after stepping on an IED in Afghanistan.
The Greg Caron Family Fund was established to help Greg adjust to a new
lifestyle and Ron Midford, Jr. will be representing the Greg Caron Family
Fund in his CARQUEST Champions For Charities effort.

NICK SALVA LOOKING TO MAKE MARK IN STAFFORD’S SK LIGHT MODIFIED DIVISION IN 2012

StaffordStafford Springs, CT – After several seasons in Stafford’s DARE Stock
division, Nick Salva is ready to make the move into the SK Light Modified
division. As Salva makes the move into the open wheel ranks for the first
time in his career, he has help from a face that is very familiar to
modified fans at Stafford. Salva’s uncle is none other than 3-time SK
Modified® champion Bo Gunning and it was a call from Gunning that led to
Salva’s landing in the SK Light division for the 2012 season.

2-TIME SK LIGHT CHAMPION MATT GALKO SEARCHING FOR SPONSORSHIP TO RUN FULL SK MODIFIED® SEASON AT STAFFORD

StaffordStafford Springs, CT – After making his SK Modified® debut in the season
ending CARQUEST Fall Final event last season, 2-time defending SK Light
champion Matt Galko is hoping to continue his SK Modified® efforts this
season. Galko will pilot the #3 Davidson Racing car that was formerly
driven by Jeff Malave in the season opening CARQUEST Tech-Net Spring
Sizzler, but if sponsorship is not found, it may be the only race that Galko
runs this season.

DARE STOCK COMPETITOR KRIS FLUCKIGER TO DONATE PRIZE WINNINGS TO AUTISM SPEAKS IN SUPPORT OF CARQUEST CHAMPIONS FOR CHARITIES

Stafford(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway’s CARQUEST Champions For
Charities race pairs championship open wheel winning drivers with a charity
of their choice. Pro-4 Modified Limited champion Stan Mertz is paired with
the Connecticut chapter of Autism Speaks and his donation total will be
getting a boost from Stafford DARE Stock driver Kris Fluckiger. Fluckiger
will donate all his prize winnings from the season opening CARQUEST Tech-Net
Spring Sizzler through the June 29th Friday night race towards Mertz’s total
for Autism Speaks.

NEW CAR AND ENGINE COMBINATION HAS DAN AVERY LOOKING FOR VICTORY LANE TRIP IN 2012 AT STAFFORD SPEEDWAY

Stafford(Stafford Springs, CT)—For SK Modified® driver Dan Avery, the 2012 season
at Stafford Motor Speedway offers plenty of promise. After racing the last
two years in Ted Christopher owned equipment, Avery and his partner Tony
Genua have purchased a new car and engine for the 2012 season. Avery is
looking to pick up his first SK Modified® victory since he won back-to-back
events in the very first season of SK Modified® competition in 1982.

TODD OWEN LOOKING TO GET BACK TO CARQUEST VICTORY LANE IN SK MODIFIED® DIVISION AT STAFFORD AS OWNER/DRIVER IN 2012

Stafford(Stafford Springs, CT)–Todd Owen has been a mainstay of consistency in
Stafford Speedway’s SK Modified® division, finishing in the top-9 of the
points standings every year since his rookie season in 2003. Owen was twice
a runner-up in the SK Modified® standings in 2004 and 2005, and he finished
third in 2009. The 2012 season will present a new challenge for Owen as he
will be an owner/driver for the first time in his SK Modified® career after
driving for Brad and Linda Hietala in each of his 9 SK Modified® seasons at
Stafford. With his last SK Modified® feature win coming in the 2006 Coors
Light SK Modified® 100, Owen is ready to tackle the challenge of returning
to victory lane this year while driving his own car.
