THOMPSON, CONN. – Officials from Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park (TSMP) announced this morning that the 2015 Championship Awards Banquet will be held at Mohegan Sun on Saturday, December 5, 2015. The change in venue is part of the facility’s 75 year anniversary celebration.
Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park is a track rich in history along multiple facets of motorsports. In the early days cars pushed the limits along the first paved oval in the nation and later on along a road course the had been nearly forgotten until 2013. In 2013 TSMP officials announced that the road course of yesteryear would be reconstructed along the premier details that TSMP is known for.
In 2014 numerous road course series and clubs attended the facility posting videos and results for many people to dream about racing on such a magnificent track. No oval track cars competed on the course that ran along the pit area pavement of the oval primary design.

NO. STONINGTON, Conn. – Founded by long-time road racer, Lou Gingerella, and experienced motorsports professional, Josh Vanada, OTB Promotions has announced that they will host an event on Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park’s (CT) road course, featuring three of the region’s grassroots stock car divisions. Drivers from the North East Mini Stock Tour (NEMST), North East Street Stock Tour (NESST), and New England Truck Series (NETS) will join drivers from Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park’s (TSMP) Mini Stock Division for this historic event on Friday, September 11 and Saturday, September 12.
The 2015 season will mark the 75th anniversary of Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park, so it is fitting that it would also see the return of historic racing on the 5/8 mile oval, for the first time since 2012. The Historic Oval Invitational will be a two-day event held on Friday and Saturday, May 15-16, 2015.
Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park Releases New Ticket Price Structure for 2015 Season
Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park (TSMP) has released their ticket pricing for the 2015 season – featuring ticket discounts for seniors, active duty military and veterans; as well as reducing ticket prices all-around for the Second Annual Vintage Motorsports Festival in June.

Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park Releases Innovative 2015 Short Track Schedule
Thompson, CT – Officials from Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park (TSMP) – the famed 5/8-mile speedway in Connecticut’s quiet corner – released a creative and innovative seven (7) event schedule today, featuring twelve different touring series and sanctioning bodies, and boasting over $500,000 in posted awards. Two weekend events, and a five event Wednesday summer series – with four rain dates – make up the calendar. The schedule is highlighted by four NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour (NWMT) events, two new Triple Crown Series, and significant enhancements to the Sunoco World Series of Speedway Racing.
