Welch, Fellows Also Visit Victory Lane For Crazy Horse Racing

WATERFORD, Conn. – Rich Staskowski of Hope Valley, R.I., won the 30-lap Late Model feature at Waterford Speedbowl in Waterford, Conn., on Saturday, August 18, for his first victory of the 2012 season.

Staskowski, who won three events in 2011, moved to third in the Late Model standings at the track.

“We’re trying a new setup recently in this car. We were a little off the pace – we had a hard time working the bugs out of it and finding the bite,” Staskowski said. “But we’ve been having a pretty good year. We were struggling a little bit, but we’re turning that around.”

Point leader and Texas Roadhouse North East Mini Stock Tour rookie Shawn Swallow extended his point lead in a thrilling photo finish victory at Waterford Speedbowl in Waterford, CT Saturday night. As the pit gates opened at 2 P.M. NEMST and weekly Speedbowl competitors began to line the pit area and descend on the NEMST sign in table, By 5:30 when the heat races began for the nights events thrity-one tour style mini stocks had registered for the nights 50 lap feature event.
