TRUCK NIGHT WINNER – COREY COATES

Waterford CT. – NETS driver Corey Coates of Ledyard CT. takes his third win of the 2011 New England Truck Series season at the Waterford Speedbowl Truck Night 50 lap race Saturday July 23rd with plenty of fans in the stands in the hot weather.

With the blistering humid days prior to Saturdays race at the speed bowl, the atmosphere remained calm in the pits with teams and drivers trying to stay cool for the days scheduled practice and heat events planned. (more…)

Ray Parent makes a surprise start at Waterford Speedbowl

(Waterford, CT) – Ray Parent and the #17 Amtrol Sponsored Ford Fusion visited The Waterford Speedbowl for the first time and come away with a Top-5 finish in 30-lap Late Model Feature.

Parent of Tiverton, RI was near Boston, MA on his way up to Oxford Plains Speedway, thinking about trying a few different things to get that Amtrol Sponsored #17 Ford Fusion into the main event, when the phone rings; the person on the other end says, “Oxford Plains Speedway has been postponed, due to weather”

A look back at the Mini Stock and Street Stock races at the Waterford Speedbowl during the June 18, 2011 event. Mini Stock race was won by a hard-charging Chris Williams, while the Street Stock race feature a classic side-by-side battle between Chris Meyer and Al Stone. Meyer regained the lead late to take the win.

AVERY WINS FIRST NEW ENGLAND TRUCK SERIES RACE

Waterford CT- Jonathon Avery (17) of Quakerhill CT, claimed his first win at his home track, Waterford Speedbowl on Saturday June 18 in the New England Truck Series feature event. Seven divisions of racing was slated for the night, including a Scout Night Pit Party which multiple teams and race vehicles were displayed on the track front stretch for fans to enjoy up close with autographs and one on one time with racers. Starting lineup for the truck feature event on the pole, (38) Ronnie Oldham Jr. with (12) Derek Chriss on the outside started the 25 lap race to a smooth green flag start. (more…)
