The Benjamin Motorports team came into this past weekend with a lot of momentum on there side after winning the Oxford 250 and finishing 3rd at Speedway 95 in there last two races. So the team had very high hopes of winning at the RE/Max 250. After practice the team was as high as second on the speed charts and after starting 6th in the qualifying race and finishing 2nd the team was really excited to get the 250 underway. The forcast didn’t look good and the rains came and the team would have to wait till Monday morning to get the race underway.

Tim Brackett best in 50-lap finale on Saturday night at Oxford Plains Speedway
Oxford, Maine — Tim Brackett of Buckfield topped the card of winners in Oxford Championship Series competition Saturday night at Oxford Plains Speedway. Brackett scored his victory in the 50-lap main event for Budweiser Pro Late Models, wheeling his NAPA Auto Parts-sponsored car into victory lane on Dave’s Small Engines / Walker Mowers Night.
Brackett’s win snapped a two-race win streak posted by his son, TJ Brackett. The elder Brackett, a former champion in the top class at OPS, worked his way into contention and took the lead away from Quinny Welch of Lancaster, New Hampshire late in the headline event on the card. Welch managed to outrun the balance of the field to the checkered flag to post a well-earned second-place finish.

Oxford, Maine – Buckfield’s TJ Brackett scored his third win of the season in the 50-lap Budweiser Pro Late Model feature race, topping the weekly card in the Oxford Championship Series on Goodwin Chevrolet Night at the Route 26 oval track on Friday night.
“This is awesome,” the winner said from victory lane. “I’ve never won two in a row, let alone three in a season.”
Brackett took the lead away from Conway, New Hampshire racer Mark Lundblad, Jr., who had detonated an engine while leading the main event nearing the halfway point last Saturday night. On the previous Saturday Lundblad led 46 laps before spinning from the lead while battling TJ Brackett for the lead, resulting in track officials sending Brackett to the rear of the restart lineup.

Oxford, Maine – Reigning Budweiser Pro Late Model champion TJ Brackett of Buckfield became the first repeat main event winner of the season in the top class of Oxford Championship Series competition, scoring in the 50-lap headlining event Saturday night at Oxford Plains Speedway, .
“It’s been a pretty cool week,” the winner said from victory lane. “First, winning with Kyle Busch at Chaudiere (Quebec, in PASS Super Late Model competition) and now this. Of course, I have to thank Seth Holbrook and the guys in the pits.”

SHAWN MARTIN WINS WILD ONE AT OXFORD PLAINS SPEEDWAY
The glory days returned to Oxford Plains Speedway this past weekend as the track returned to Saturday night racing after trying Friday nights for the past couple of seasons. Winners on Whited RV night included Shawn Martin, Spencer Morse, Guy Childs Sr. Joe Pastore and Shawn Hinkley.
Point leader Shawn Martin survived all challenges, and took advantage of other driver’s bad luck to lay claim to the Budweiser Pro Late Model checkered flag. Race long leader Mark Lundblad Jr., and TJ Brackett tangled sending Brackett to the rear, and Lundblad to the pits hooked to a wrecker. Martin inherited the lead with four laps to go and held off Joe Pastore, whom started dead last in the 24th position for the win. Following the lead pair were Tim Brackett, Scott Moore and Kyle Treadwell. Sixth through tenth positions included Jeremy Davis, Alan Wilson, Gary Norris, Tommy Ricker, and Scott McDaniel. Heat checkers flew for Lundblad, Donnie Wentworth and Billy Childs Jr.
