Polewarczyk scores ACT Dave’s Small Engine Ventrac 150 win at Oxford Plains Speedway
Robbins & Robbins prevail atop weekly Budweiser Championship Series racing card
Oxford, Maine – Joey Polewarczyk of Hudson, New Hampshire entended his lead in the battle for the ACT Late Model Tour championship with his victory in the Dave’s Small Engine Ventrac 150 on Saturday night at Oxford Plains Speedway.
Polewarczyk prevailed in an aggressive, paint-swapping battle with Windham’s Brad Babb, who looked like a winner before contact from behind set off a chain of events which cost Babb the race lead and, eventually, any chance of victory.

Polewarczyk Completes Season Sweep at Oxford After Late Incident
Oxford, ME – Joey Polewarczyk Jr. won his fourth American-Canadian Tour (ACT) event of the season in the Oxford Plains 150 at Maine’s Oxford Plains Speedway on Saturday, July 25 after a late incident while fighting with Brad Babb for the lead.
Hudson, NH’s “Joey Pole” took the lead for the final time with four laps remaining after he and Babb made contact racing for the top spot in turn one. Babb slid up the track before gathering the car, but subsequently lost control exiting turn two and spun to bring out the caution.
After another caution on the restart, Pole held off a final charge from Dillon Moltz to complete the season sweep at the 3/8-mile oval and unofficially retake the points lead. The normally popular driver was then booed in Victory Lane.

Waterbury, VT – The American-Canadian Tour (ACT) resumes its 2015 championship chase this Saturday, July 25 at Oxford, ME’s Oxford Plains Speedway. The Oxford Plains 150 is the eighth on the ACT Tour’s 13-race schedule and their second visit of the season to the 3/8-mile oval. The event was previously scheduled for June 27 before being postponed.
The second half of the year will see the continued championship battle between New Hampshire veterans Wayne Helliwell Jr. and Joey Polewarczyk Jr. Two-time ACT Tour Champion Wayne Helliwell Jr. holds a 17-point lead over defending Champion “Joey Pole” with each driver recording three wins to date.

Oxford, ME – Josh Knoll of Mechanic Falls claimed victory in the 25-lap Enduro race, highlighting the special Allen’s Coffee Flavored Brandy Motor Mayhem racing card Saturday night at Oxford Plains Speedway.
Knoll raced with the leaders throughout the event and crossed under the checkered flag with an apparent third-place finish, but both drivers finishing ahead of him ran afoul of technical inspectors after the race to hand him the victory.

After stopping Sam Betts’ 3 race win streak last week, Jason Trundy of Winterport has started a streak of his own as he made it two in a row in the Wednesday night RoadRunners at Speedway 95. Trundy started 26th in the 43 car starting field for the 20 lap feature and steadily worked his way through the pack. With the help of three red flags stopping the action, Trundy took the lead on lap 15, and held it through two more red flags in the final five laps, winning two drag race restarts with Sam Betts of Bradley. Betts finished in second, with Andrew Cossette of Eddington finishing in third. Fourth went to Rick Gomm of Dixmont with Trey Brown of Winterport finishing fifth.

Harrington’s Andrew McLaughlin won the hotly contested 50 lap Hopkins Landscaping Series feature for the Dysart’s Late Models at Speedway 95 Saturday night after fighting a race long battle with Ryan Deane of Winterport for the win. McLaughlin won the pole for the feature by winning the earlier qualifying race and led from the drop of the green until the race’s only caution flew on lap 17 for a solo spin by D.C. Alexander of Glenburn. On the restart, Deane raced with McLaughlin for the lead, with the two racing side by side and swapping the lead back and forth until McLaughlin took it back on lap 23. Deane didn’t give up on the inside groove, and worked his way past McLaughlin, taking the lead on the 33rd lap. Deane led until lap 44, when McLaughlin passed Deane on the outside to take the lead back again, this time for good. Deane finished in second, with Milo’s Nick Jenkins finishing third, right behind the front two at the finish. Brenton Parritt of Steuben finished fourth, with Wayne Parritt Jr. of Steuben coming in fifth.
