Oxford Plains Speedway in Maine released its 2013 racing schedule. The highlight of the schedule is the TD Bank 250 to be held on July 21. The 2013 edition of the event marks the return of the Super Late Model type cars after a six year absence under the Late Model format. The 2013 schedule boasts a very aggresive format with events from April to October at the 3/8 mile oval. There are 19 Oxford Championship Series points events slated to take place along with 13 Oxford Acceleration Series points nights, 4 Motor Mayhem events, a Mega Monster Truck Extravaganza weekend in August, and the 1st Annual Tom Mayberry Swap Meet to close out the year.
In addition to those events, the Pro All Stars Series Super Late Models will once again return for two dates in 2013; the season opener on April 21 and Championship Weekend on September 27 and 28. Joining the Pro All Stars Series in September will be the annual Oxford Championship Series Little Guys and Oxford Acceleration Series Showdown events for what will prove to be an action packed weekend. BKR Development Driver Sees Through One Of Best Career Efforts
NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. – Austin Theriault capped off a strong weekend in the Brad Keselowski Racing No. 29 Checkered Flag Foundation Dodge Charger with a third-place finish in the Governor’s Cup 200 at New Smyrna Speedway in New Smyrna Beach, Fla., on Saturday, November 17.
Theriault called the effort one of his best – from start to finish – in his year with BKR.
“If you split up a race weekend into three segments – practice, qualifying and the race – I think that would be correct,” said Theriault, whose finish was his best in 10 career starts for BKR dating back to the fall of 2011. “We felt really confident in practice that we were going to have a car that could run for win. In qualifying, there’s still a little bit more on the table that I’m trying to find, and the race went somewhat to our liking.” (more…)

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. – Fresh off his first career Super Late Model victory in his most recent start, Austin Theriault hopes to continue his late-season roll this weekend at New Smyrna Speedway in New Smyrna Beach, Fla.
Theriault returns to the Brad Keselowski Racing No. 29 Checkered Flag Foundation Dodge Charger this weekend for the Governor’s Cup 200. Qualifying and the 200-lap main event are both slated for Saturday, November 17. Theriault’s last run with BKR was an impressive effort in the Winchester 400 at Winchester, Ind., last month – one week before he won the PASS 150 at Oxford Plains Speedway for his family-owned team. Ben Rowe has never been to Caraway Speedway. But, just like the competitors in the PASS National Series, the multi-time champion is eager to take his first shot at the half-mile high-banked speedway.
Rowe leads the 2012 PASS National standings with two races remaining as the tour heads to the 10th annual Colors Edge John Blewett III North-South Shootout presented by PPG on November 8-10. The Turner, Maine, driver has more than 30 career victories in PASS competition and is a multi-time PASS North Series and PASS South Series champion.
“I’ve never been to Caraway, but I hear it’s a pretty cool place,” said Rowe, driver of the Richard Moody Racing No. 4 MEP Ford. “It’s always fun to go to new places, and the North-South Shootout should be a lot of fun.” (more…)
