Louie Mechalides picked up his third career Valenti Modified Racing Series win Saturday at Seekonk, holding off some late race charges from Tommy Barrett and Dwight Jarvis. Todd Annarummo jumped out to the lead from his pole position start, and set the pace for the first half of the race. Todd had his hands full, as Stephen Masse made his way through the field from his 11th starting position. By the time the race reached the one-third mark, Masse had closed in on the second generation racer, and put heavy pressure on Annarummo. Todd was able to hold on through a pair of restarts, but it would be lapped traffic that would be their undoing, as just past the half-way point, a car about to go a lap down struggled to find the right groove, causing Annarummo and Masse to get together. Earl Curtin III jumped out front early in the Pure Stock 25 lap main event, and never looked back, picking up the opening Fast Friday Pure Stock victory. In a race that went nearly caution free, Curtin was able to hold on through a late race, holding off defending champion Jesse Melberg and Chris Lima in a green white checker finish. (more…)
For the third consecutive season, AAA Hometown Heroes will kick off at The Action Track of the East. On Saturday,
May 18, the series will allow fans from a handful of towns and cities in southern New England a chance to catch the
action for FREE.
It is also our annual Little League night, allowing boys and girls from any town free admission, as long as they are

Seekonk Speedway set to kick off 68th season of action.
Seekonk Speedway is ready to kick off the 2013 season on Sunday, May 5th, with a six division spectacular. Headlining the day will be the A.R.C. Pro Stocks in a 40 lap main event. The Pro Stocks have been headlining the action at Seekonk for over 30 years, and this season is shaping up to be another exciting chase.
During the opening ceremonies we will announce the first ever inductees of the Seekonk Speedway/630 WPRO Wall of Fame. Almost 1,000 people voted, and everyone is excited about this opportunity to honor those that have shaped the history and the future of the historic speedway.
The Semi-Final Races of the 3rd Annual Racing against Cancer 100 at Checkered Flag Indoor Karting in Haverhill, MA.
Drivers in each race are required to make one 3-minute pit stop to switch to a kart with a fresh charge. The top 5 from each race advance to the final.
