Entries are coming in for Seekonk Speedway’s 9th Annual Open Wheel Wednesday Modified Madness.
July 17th is the date, Seekonk Speedway the place. With $10,000 guaranteed to the winner, this has become “A can’t miss” event for the top modified drivers in the region, making it one of the highest paying modified races in the Northeast.

John Paiva picks up Phil’s Propane Triple Crown round two. Ryan Vanasse, Bobby Pelland III and Bob Bettencourt Jr win on RI Shriners night.
Ryan Vanasse picked up his first win of the 2013 season, shaking off a rough start. Kevin Folan brought the field down to the green, but the A&A Auto Parts Chevy quickly jumped out front and showed that he had the car to beat. Folan hung onto second until Ken Spencer moved past, and fell to fourth as Fred Astle got by. Astle worked his way quickly by Spencer and tried to hunt down Vanasse. Bobby Pelland III was fifth at the halfway point.

Nick Ladyga wins Phil’s Propane Triple Crown Legends National qualifier. Bill Doyle, Jeff Dombrowski, Kaitlyn Donovan and TJ Morsehead also winners.
Voluntown, CT’s Nick Ladyga continues his winning streak at Seekonk with his third consecutive Nick’s Pit Stop Legends event. The win gives him a guaranteed starting position in the INEX Nationals, and a leg up in the Phil’s Propane Triple Crown Series. Chris Robbins was the early leader before Nick Lascoula moved past and into the lead. Ladyga wasn’t far behind, after starting eighth in the field, taking second from Robbins on the fourth lap. He chased down Lascoula, and the pair raced bumper to bumper until the caution came out on lap 8.

Dave Darling wins Phil’s Propane Triple Crown/2ND Annual Brad Scott Memorial 75. Dave Hutchins Jr, Crystal Serydynski and John Paiva also victorious.
Rehoboth’s Dave Darling used a lap 42 caution to catapult his way to the lead in the 75 lap Phil’s Propane Triple Crown / Brad Scott Memorial event. Once out front, the three-time champion never looked back, picking up his third win of the young season.

Kevin Casper, Paul Lallier and Branden Dion win A & C Recycling features at Seekonk. Dylan Estrella picks up LM Phil’s Triple Crown main.
Kevin Casper jumped into the lead from his pole position start, and never looked back, as he picked up his first win of the 2013 season. Kevin and Ken Spencer brought the 21 car field down for the green, and raced wheel to wheel for several laps before Spencer settled in behind the Phil’s Propane Fusion. Throughout that battle, Kyle Casper ran third, putting pressure on Spencer.

Louie Mechalides picked up his third career Valenti Modified Racing Series win Saturday at Seekonk, holding off some late race charges from Tommy Barrett and Dwight Jarvis. Todd Annarummo jumped out to the lead from his pole position start, and set the pace for the first half of the race. Todd had his hands full, as Stephen Masse made his way through the field from his 11th starting position. By the time the race reached the one-third mark, Masse had closed in on the second generation racer, and put heavy pressure on Annarummo. Todd was able to hold on through a pair of restarts, but it would be lapped traffic that would be their undoing, as just past the half-way point, a car about to go a lap down struggled to find the right groove, causing Annarummo and Masse to get together.
