MODIFIEDS DOMINATE THOMPSON SCHEDULE
THOMPSON, CT. The popular Tour-Type Modifieds will make their final appearance of the year this Thursday, August 18th, at the Thompson International Speedway. This event will kick off an amazing run for Modified race cars at the Connecticut oval. In three of the next four weeks, Thompson will be the center of Modified racing action which will also include the Valenti Modified Racing Series and the University of Northwestern Ohio (UNOH) NASCAR Whelen Modified Tours Showdown.

(Waterford, CT) – Retired race driver Jerry Marquis of Broad Brook, Connecticut., dusted off his racing helmet Saturday night and won the 100-lap Valenti Modified Racing Series feature at Waterford, (CT) Speedbowl. The win came on a night when the track presented the fourth annual “Wings & Wheels” program
in front of a large crowd of open-wheel race fans.

KEITH ROCCO WINS LINCOLN TECH 80 MODIFIED RACING SERIES FEATURE AT STAFFORD SPEEDWAY
(Stafford Springs, CT)—Keith Rocco continued his winning ways at Stafford
Speedway as he picked up his first career Modified Racing Series victory in
the Lincoln Tech 80. The race was started on June 24th, but rain halted the
race with 32 laps complete. Rocco was the race leader when the rain came
and he had to fight off strong challenges from Matt Hirschman and then Todd
Owen to take the victory as he led the final 47 laps of the race.

Canaan. (NH) — Hopefully “Third Times The Charm” Friday night, August 12, when the Valenti Modified Racing Series returns to Stafford Motor Speedway, Stafford, CT., to settle some unfinished business.
The series will attempt to finish 48 laps to complete the running of the“Lincoln Tech 80” feature race that was stopped due to rain on June 24.

Scarborough, ME — Two weeks after Joe Doucette scored a popular
first time win at Oxford, ME., veteran Mike Holdridge, of Madison,
CT., took his turn in victory lane after capturing the Valenti Modified
Racing Series sanctioned, “Beech Ridge 100,” Saturday night, August 6, at the historic Beech Ridge Motor Speedway, Scarborough, ME.
Les Hinckley, of Windsor Locks, CT., and local favorite, David Pinkham,
Buxton, ME., swapped the lead back and forth in the early going with Pinkham taking the top spot leading laps 16 through 41.
