tgbnhyThe American Racer Three Star program has returned for the 2015 season. The program is designed to recognize three teams in no particular order of performance who had outstanding races at American Canadian Tour (ACT) U.S. Tour events. There are no specific criteria for deciding who might receive the award of a free American Racer tire (value $125.00), but special effort by a team, an exceptional race, just plain old hard luck, or other accepted reason to give the award is used to determine the recipients.

NEW ENGLAND MOTORSPORTS NORTH

tgbnhyIn less than two weeks, Monadnock Speedway will be back in action hosting the traditional Bond Auto Parts Spring Dash 100. The special event season opener was delayed by two weeks due to the extended winter and mud season in the Northeast. The event will feature the first race of the season for Valenti Modified Racing Series as they compete in 100 laps around the 1/4 mile high banked track. All the speedway’s NASCAR Whelen All American Series divisions will be competing along with the weekly Young Gun division, visiting NE Classic Lites and Pro 4 Modifieds. The speedway will start racing at 4pm due to all the divisions that will be present vying for opening day victories. Pit gates will open at 10am with practice starting at 1pm. General admission will open at 1pm.

NEW ENGLAND MOTORSPORTS SOUTH FOR APRIL 16, 2015

tgbnhyWhen the green flag falls on the 44th Annual NAPA Spring Sizzler this season, Oxford, MA native Troy Talman will find himself making his Sizzler debut in one of the most recognizable rides on the Whelen Modified Tour. Talman teamed up with the #3 Boehler Family team for the 2014 season ending race and that relationship has blossomed into a full-time ride for the 2015 season with sponsorship from Cape Cod Copper, Riverview Industries, and NAPA Ayer Auto Parts.

NEW ENGLAND MOTORSPORTS NORTH

tgbnhyThe American-Canadian Tour (ACT) will compete in three 150-lap events on three completely different tracks in all three northern New England states to open the 2015 season. The New Hampshire Governor’s Cup 150, now re-set due to snow on April 28, is the usual traditional opening event for ACT teams held yearly at Lee USA Speedway in Lee, NH. Teams will now start off the 2015 season at Oxford Plains Speedway (OPS) in Oxford, ME on April 18 followed by their annual visit to Thunder Road International Speedbowl in Barre, VT on May 3.

gsdgsdgChampionship Auto Shows, Inc. is known for presenting iconic custom vehicles from television and film at its Autorama, World of Wheels, and Cavalcade of Customs events. This year, CASI is pulling out all the stops to showcase vehicles from one of Hollywood’s most popular film series. “Furious 7,” the newest film in the series, is set to release to the public, Friday, April 3, 2015.

The 2015 season is fast approaching, as the Granite State Pro Stock Series (GSPSS) begins their fourth full season at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park on April 10-12, and two drivers are itching to capture the first wins of their GSPSS careers.

Hudson, New Hampshire young gun Derek Griffith had a respectable season, finishing fourth on the season, with six (6) top-five and ten (10) top-ten finishes in eleven (11) races, but the elusive “W” has evaded the LCM Racing Engines team. Griffith is trying to change that in 2015.
