NEW ENGLAND MOTORSPORTS NORTH For Nov 14th 2014

Two of the leading short track sanctioning bodies in the United States and Canada, the American Canadian Tour (ACT) located in Waterbury, VT and the Pro All Star Series (PASS) from Naples, Maine have reached an agreement entering the 2015 season.
The first ever “double-header” event to be held between the two groups will take place at the opening event for the 2015 PASS season at the Oxford Plains Speedway(OPS), Oxford, ME on Saturday, April 18, 2015. Both the ACT Late Models and the PASS Super Late Models will compete in 150-lap feature events to open the race season at the historic Oxford Plains Speedway. ACT has a traditional opening day event at the Lee USA Speedway with the annual New Hampshire Governor’s Cup race on Sunday, April 12, 2015.

SOPHIA, NC (November 2) – Scarborough, Maine’s Ryan Moore survived an intense late race battle with Christopher Bell to secure his first career Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South Super Late Model win in the 12th Annual North-South Shootout Sunday afternoon at Caraway Speedway. Moore was able to take advantage of an opportunity when Bell appeared to make contact with his Kyle Busch Motorsports teammate Karl Weber’s machine while trying to put him a lap down, which resulted in a slow leak on Bell’s right front tire. Bell tried to furiously to protect the inside groove as Moore closed in over the final laps, with the two cars making contact entering turn three on the last lap, sending Bell up the track and Moore to victory lane.

Loudon, NH: The Racing History Preservation Group (RHPG), parent corporation for the North East Motor Sports Museum, has announced the location of the new museum building. The RHPG Board of Directors, after a long research period and vetting process, has voted to locate the museum at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon, NH.

Vermont’s Devil’s Bowl Speedway can lay claim to the most diverse schedule of stock car racing events in the Northeast in 2014, as details for the first-ever “Battle at the Bowl” dirt series have been announced. The three-race run begins on Friday, September 26 at 7 p.m.

The starting field for the 6th annual Bond Auto ACT Invitational at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) on Saturday, September 20, 2014 has been set. The sixth edition of the event will have the American Canadian Tour (ACT) introducing fans to a promising future for regional Late Model short track stock car racing. Veteran champions and former NHMS winners Eddie MacDonald, Rowley, MA; Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. (Pole), Hudson, NH; Ray Parent, Tiverton, RI; and Brian Hoar, Williston, VT have all won events at the “Magic Mile”. This year there are lots of young emerging stars who will challenge the veterans.

The Benjamin Motorports team came into this past weekend with a lot of momentum on there side after winning the Oxford 250 and finishing 3rd at Speedway 95 in there last two races. So the team had very high hopes of winning at the RE/Max 250. After practice the team was as high as second on the speed charts and after starting 6th in the qualifying race and finishing 2nd the team was really excited to get the 250 underway. The forcast didn’t look good and the rains came and the team would have to wait till Monday morning to get the race underway.
