Barre, VT – Veteran Matt White of Northfield earned his fourth career Thunder Road Late Model win on WDEV/Calkins Portable Toilets Night on Thursday, July 28. White came from the third starting position and survived a fourth caution 50 lap event to pick up his first win of the season. He held off Mike Bailey, who came home second.
Lt. Governor Phil Scott worked his way from the 14th starting spot and got around Cris Michaud late to take third. Michaud and second place point man Dave Pembroke completed the top five. Reno Gervais, Trampas Demers, Joey Becker, rookie Jimmy Hebert, and Cody Blake rounded out the top five. (more…)
TODD OWEN LOOKS TO CONTINUE STRONG RUN IN RESCHEDULED LINCOLN TECH MRS 80 AT STAFFORD SPEEDWAY
(Stafford Springs, CT)—When the Modified Racing Series came to Stafford
Motor Speedway in June for the Inaugural Lincoln Tech 80 MRS event, Stafford
SK Modified® regular Todd Owen had a great drive going with his #29 Cooker
Construction sponsored entry in the race before rain halted the feature at
lap-32. Owen had the fastest car in the MRS practice session, and after
crashing in his heat race and starting the feature in 20th place, Owen had
climbed his way up through the field into 7th place when the rain came.
When the MRS cars return to Stafford this Friday night, July 29th for the
resumption of the Lincoln Tech 80, Owen hopes to continue his charge to the

Szegedy, the 2011 season has played out like a roller coaster ride. Szegedy

in the first two races of the season after running among the leaders in each
race. In the 4 races since, Szegedy and crew have notched 2 wins and 4
top-10 finishes. Szegedy is the defending champion of the Town Fair Tire
150 at Stafford and he is keen to take home another Town Fair Tire 150
trophy when the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour visits Stafford Speedway on

Travis and Danielle Beale, a racing couple from Hampden, each won their respective feature events at Speedway 95 Wednesday night. It was the second time this year they’ve both been in victory lane on the same night.
Danielle Beale won first as she led the Ladies 20 lap feature from the pole position to the checkered flag. She received a strong challenge from Becky Elston of Carmel over the final 5 laps, but was able to hold on to the lead for the win. Elston finished second, followed by Winterport’s Chelsea Young in third, who battled Elston for most of the race for the position. Fourth went to Kayla Allen of Bucksport, with Amy Hood of Howland finishing fifth. (more…)
ACT YOUNG GUNS POLEWARCZYK, THERIAULT, AND BABB LEAD THE WAY
Waterbury, VT – Beech Ridge Motor Speedway (BRMS) in Scarborough, ME is perhaps the most neutral track the American Canadian Tour (ACT) visits during the season-long touring campaign. There will be no weekly teams that enter the event; by design, it might be compared to Oxford Plains Speedway, but veterans will tell you that is not true; it races as good as any track the Tour visits; and the atmosphere from the staff and management to the fans is first class.
