THE STORY

Brent Dragon of Milton, Vt., and the ACT Late Model Tour will return to Twin State Speedway in Claremont, N.H., for the Twin State 100 on Saturday, July 9. Dragon, who has more ACT starts than any driver in history, won this event in 2009 as part of a midsummer surge. In his last appearance at the track, Dragon was again in contention for a win when an on-track incident relegated him to a 13th place finish. Dragon will bring with him his knowledge of the track and his past strong performances as he races for his first ACT Tour win of the 2011 season.

Sixty-Six Year Old Don “Dipstick” Tofani First Entrant in M&M Beverage Enduro

Barre , VT – Don “Dipstick” Tofani of Plainfield is the first entrant into the 27th Annual M&M Beverage Enduro on Sunday, August 7 at Thunder Road International Speedbowl. The sixty-six year old Enduro veteran will pilot the Richard Bell Surveyor, Craftsbury Garage Oldsmobile Cutlass in the $3,000-to-win “People’s Race.” Over 100 slightly modified street cars driven by amateurs, are expected to run in the 200-lap event that will feature no cautions and stops for emergencies only. The annual Enduro is an action-packed thriller for the whole family.

Speedway 95 results July 6

SHOWERS SHORTEN SPEEDWAY 95 WEDNESDAY SHOW

Just as the final qualifying race took the checkered flag at Speedway 95 Wednesday night, thunder, lightning and rain forced cancellation of the remainder of the Varney GMC-Buick-Mazda Wacky Wednesday show on July 6. The feature events scheduled for that night will be run next Wednesday night, July 13, in conjunction with the regularly scheduled show. Ted Ryder of Carmel and Darren Durrell of Newburgh each won one of the two qualifying races for the Little Enduro Series race scheduled for the night, and will start on the front row when the 25 lap series race is run next Wednesday night. NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Stars Pulling Double Duty at NHMS

LOUDON, N.H. (July 6, 2011) -When the stars of NASCAR’s Sprint Cup Series race into New Hampshire Motor Speedway next weekend there is a good chance they may not just visit Victory Lane during the LENOX Industrial Tools 301 on Sunday.

The NASCAR Nationwide Series New England 200 on Saturday, July 16, will feature some of NASCAR’s best Sprint Cup Series drivers. Those scheduled to pull double duty include; Kyle Busch, Joey Logano, Brad Keselowski, Kevin Harvick, Carl Edwards and Kasey Kahne.

Benjamin Motorsports – 4th at Canaan

The Benjamin Motorsports race team went into Canaan Speedway with hopes of having a good finish. The team worked hard and ended the night with a 4th place finish. After starting 7th in the qualifing race the car was good enough to finish 4th and that would start the 17 car in the 12th position for the main event.

Dearborn’s Say Good-bye

Richie and everyone at Dearborn Racing would like to thank all of our sponsors, family, friends and fans for all your years of support. It has been some wonderful years of memories for all of us but it’s time for Richie to hang up his helmet and all of us move on to the next phase of our lives.

Richie, Jenn and Miranda are building a new house this summer. This has been a lot of planning and works in the making over the last few months and now they can concentrate on getting it completed.
