Jr., the 2011 season has been a resurgence of sorts for himself and the #00
Membrino Electric team. After winning twice and finishing 6th in the points
standings in 2009, the team only raced 9 times in 2010 and finished 22nd in
the points standings. But that has all turned around this season as
Membrino collected his first win of the 2011 season in grand style last
Friday night, taking home a $600 bonus from the Gunsmoke Stables Front
Runner Challenge. Combined with his race purse and further contingency
bonuses from The Davidson Company and New England Racing Fuel, Membrino took
home $1,000 for his winning efforts, a big boost for a team that almost wasn

MILTON, Vt. – Coming off an impressive Top-5 finish at Thunder Road International Speedbowl last Sunday afternoon, Brent Dragon feels like his combined effort this season is finally rounding into form.
Dragon, who during the offseason combined his Dragon Motorsports No. 55 Furniture World of VT/Beverage Mart/Charlesbois Freightliner Chevrolet team with Avery Motorsports, said he believes that the learning curve for the dual focus is about to hit its stride as the summer stretch of racing commences. THE STORY
Lonnie Sommerville of Saint John, New Brunswick, looks to turn his bad luck around when the PASS North Series heads to the Firecracker 150 at Canaan Fair Speedway in Canaan, N.H., on Saturday, July 2. Sommerville, who is coming off back-to-back finishes outside of the Top-10 thanks to mechanical woes, has never competed at the facility – but his Mulkern Racing No. 48 A.E. McKay Builders/Community Pharmacies Chevrolet team is the defending champion of this event. The event kicks off a busy stretch for the PASS North Series, with the race serving as the first of three events in an 11-day stretch.
Shawn MacNevin of Hudson broke Eddie Cobb’s 5 race winning streak in the Big Enduros at Speedway 95 Wednesday night when he won the 25 lap series feature event. MacNevin took the lead from Cobb on lap 3 and held off a strong challenge from Adam Gardner of Bangor, who was making his first appearance of the season. Cobb fell back in the pack and eventually retired to the pit with a burned wheel bearing. Shawn Racilla of Dover-Foxcroft finished in third, followed by Bengie Littlefield of Brooks in fourth and Garland’s Erlon Noyes in fifth. Roger Gardner of Brewer, Dennis Burns of Carmel and Cobb rounded out the finishing order. (more…)
