RYAN PREECE WINS 38TH ANNUAL COORS LIGHT SK MODIFIED® 100 AT STAFFORD; MOLTZ, BARRETT, GAMBACORTA, & WOOD ALSO SCORE WINS

Stafford(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway’s SK Modified® division took
center stage with the running of the 38th Annual Coors Light SK Modified®
100. Ryan Preece took home the $2,600 winner’s check by taking the
checkered flag in 38th Annual Coors Light SK Modified® 100, Dillon Moltz
captured his second feature victory of the season in the 30-lap Late Model
feature, Tommy Barrett, Jr. took down his third win of the season in the
20-lap SK Light Modified feature, Kevin Gambacorta picked up his first win
of 2011 in the 20-lap Limited Late Model feature, and Josh Wood was a winner
for the second consecutive week in the 15-lap DARE Stock feature.

VALENTI MODIFIED RACING SERIES AT THOMPSON THIS WEEK

THOMPSON, CT. The Valenti Modified Racing Series will highlight the competition this Thursday night at the Thompson International Speedway. This impressive touring series boasts a roster of Modified drivers that includes many of the very best drivers in the entire northeast. Thursday night’s appearance will be the first of two scheduled races for the VMRS at Thompson this year.

The Thompson race will be the 5th event in their 17 race schedule and promises to be one of the best of the year. VMRS race teams love the big, high banked, super fast Thompson track where there is lots of room to get the most out of their racers.

Jeremy Frankoski Ready To Hammer Down

HUNTERSVILLE, North Carolina (June 9, 2011) – – The second NorthEastern Midget Association (NEMA) event of the year is set for this weekend at Twin State Speedway in Claremont, New Hampshire but former USAC Ford Focus Carolina champion Jeremy Frankoski is ready to hammer down.

Boosting his readiness on the heels of a top-three finish in the season-opener at Waterford Speedbowl, the 24-year old is aiming for his first win of the season driving for Adam Cantor Racing (ACR).

Rain Halts Thompson Speedway Action

Thompson, CT (June 9, 2011): Heavy down pours and the forecast for severe weather in the region forced the cancellation of NASCAR Whelen All-American Series action at Thompson International Speedway on Thursday night. Just as practice concluded torrential rain and heavy winds swept into the area. A grim forecast for much of the same prompted the call. The rain check policy will be published on speedway’s official website thompsonspeedway.com. An announcement will also be made regarding the rescheduling of the extra-distance race for the Super Late Models.
