Vintage Racing Returns to New Hampshire Motor Speedway May 17-22
LOUDON, N.H. (May 11) – Step back in time at New Hampshire Motor Speedway May 17-22 as thousands of legendary racing vehicles from around the world compete during the 21st annual Vintage Racing Celebration.
On Tuesday, May 17, through Thursday, May 19, take in the sights and sounds of racing as it was during the early years. This historically significant race field will take on the 1.058 “Magic Mile” oval, featuring vintage midgets, sprint cars, champ cars, roadsters, NASCAR stock cars and even Indy cars.

Stafford tied for the championship lead.

THE STORY
Austin Theriault of Fort Kent, Maine, looks to bounce back as the ACT Late Model Tour competes in The Big Jab 150 at Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, Maine, on Sunday, May 15. Theriault failed to qualify for the Tour’s most recent event at Thunder Road International Speedbowl earlier this month after finishing an impressive seventh in his RPM Motorsports debut at Lee USA Speedway. Theriault made his ACT debut as a 15-year-old at Oxford in October of 2009, and last season he led 29 laps in this very event.

East Coast Snocross to have strong presence on 2011 NEATV Tour
CHESHIRE, Conn. (May 12, 2011) – When snowmobile addicts finally have to put the sleds away and endure another long summer, there is one machine that provides the adrenaline rush and can deliver that racing fix necessary to get by. It’s known as the All Terrain Vehicle, or ATV, and they’ve come a long way since those first heavy, cumbersome units hit the trail.
Two forms of powersports racing will join forces this summer, as East Coast Snocross (ECS) will have a strong presence on the New England ATV (NEATV-MX) racing circuit. The ECS office trailer will be on-site at every race (housing the DRT Racing squad), with circuit information readily available. The 2011-12 snocross schedule will be available by late summer.

THE STORY
Lonnie Sommerville of Saint John, New Brunswick, looks for a second straight Top-5 finish to open the PASS North Series season in the Star 150 at Star Speedway in Epping, N.H., on Saturday, May 14. Sommerville, who has joined Mulkern Racing to compete full-time in the series for the first time, comes off a strong fourth-place effort in his debut at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway two weeks ago. Sommerville has never competed at Star Speedway, though his home track of Speedway 660 in Geary, N.B., is very similar in size and layout.
