Polewarczyk, JR. Steals Seacoast 100 Win at Lee USA Speedway

Lee USA Joey Ploe in Victory Lane

Durham, NH- Joey Polewarczyk, JR. used a two-lap shootout to best point leader Larry Gelinas en route to grabbing his second career victory in the Granite State Pro Stock Series (GSPSS).

Newcomer to the GSPSS Bobby Nadeau led the field to green with Marston Mills, MA native Billy Brady to his outside. Nadeau proved he had a fast car, jumping out to a quick lead. The advantage would be wiped away as the first of 6 cautions flew for Russ Hersey’s spin in turn 3 on lap 14. On the restart, Nadeau would drift wide and collect Brady on the backstretch, ending both driver’s nights early. Larry Gelinas would inherit the lead, and be faced with American-Canadian Tour point leader Joey Polewarczyk, JR. to his outside. Gelinas would show his strength, as the pilot of the Watt’s Race Cars Cadillac would pull away from Polewarczyk, JR. until a caution for Steve “Danger” Dickey would negate the lead on lap 49. Gelinas would fend off Polewarczyk, JR. once more, and set a blistering pace as the duo would put multiple cars a lap down.

Joey Polewarczyk, JR to Compete in Seacoast 100

Joey Polewarczyk, JR to Compete in Seacoast 100Walpole, NH- The Granite State Pro Stock Series competitors will have one more car to beat at the Seacoast 100 at Lee USA Speedway this Friday, July 25th.

American-Canadian Tour point leader Joey Polewarczyk, JR has entered the Seacoast 100 in hopes to make it two-for-two with the GSPSS in his career.

The Hudson, NH native has one win under his belt with the GSPSS, a victory at the now closed Canaan Fair Speedway in 2013, and is looking to double that total at Lee. “We are definitely going to try and go two-for-two with the GSPSS,” says Polewarczyk, JR. “I think we will have a good car so we will see what happens. No matter where you race or what you race, it’s always tough to get a win, but we will certainly try our hardest.”

Polewarczyk, JR feels Lee is a great place to race, and that’s why he’s chosen that venue to make his return to the series. “We chose Lee because it’s very close to us and we have had success there in the past. It’s just a fun place to race, plus it’s where my racing career got started.”

Even though the driver of the Pole’s Automotive Ford Fusion has had success in many different forms, he still feels winning the Seacoast 100 will be a challenge. “Frahm is always tough, the same with Gelinas, and all those guys. It’s going to be tough to hold them off. We definitely will have to be on our game to best those guys.”

The Seacoast 100 will take place at Lee USA Speedway on Friday, July 25th. Post time for this event is 7PM, with pit gates opening at 3PM.
