Lee, NH –  It was championship night at Lee USA Speedway on Friday, the final weekly program for the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series divisions to decide the 2015 division titles at “New Hampshire‘s Center of Speed“.

Haverhill, MA’s Tommy Tombarello, Jr. locked up another Supermodified championship title, but his season didn’t end quite the way he would have liked.  He was involved in a scary incident during his qualifying heat, slamming the retaining wall and destroying his championship machine.  Tombarello was uninjured in the hard wreck and joined the post-race festivities to accept his championship.

Lee, NH – Jay Sands of Hampton continued his impressive 2015 Late Model Sportsman campaign at Lee USA Speedway on Friday night, capturing the win in the prestigious Lance Davis Memorial 50-lapper for the R & R Public Wholesale-sponsored division. Sands was just one of eight feature winners on another exciting night of racing action at New Hampshire’s “Center of Speed”.

Polesitter Nate Leavitt of Buxton, ME battled side by side with Newmarket’s Bryan Kruczek for the first several laps before finally giving up the lead and dropping back a couple of spots. A lap 10 caution for a spin by Jimmy Ryder saw Kruczek, Jay Sands, and Leavitt leading the way, with Sands quickly moving to the front when racing resumed.

Phil Lausier wins Pro-4 Mod main, Ordway, Ryder, Helliwell, DeStefano, and Pyle take NASCAR Whelen All-American Series wins

Lee, NH –  Hudson racer Phil Lausier ran off to the win in the first
2015 appearance by the Pro-4 Modifieds at Lee USA Speedway on Friday night, just one of six feature winners during yet another exciting night of racing action at New Hampshire’s “Center of Speed”.

Lausier jumped out to the lead early in the race, with second-generation racer Norman Wrenn III holding down the second spot until late in the event, when Dave Berghman got past to take runner-up honors.  Wrenn was third across the stripe, with Rob Richardi, Jr. and Derek Robbie rounding out the top five.

Continuing the good night for sons of former racers, Mike Ordway, Jr.
of Fremont got past five-time winner Tommy Tombarello, Jr. and picked up his third win of the season in the Supermodified 30-lap main event aboard the storied Witkum Brothers Racing machine.
