Waterbury, VT –The American Canadian Tour (ACT) announced today the criteria and format for the first NHMS – ACT All Star event to be held at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) over the weekend of August 12-13, 2011.
The event will be presented as part of the announced INDY weekend at the region’s largest sporting facility, and only super speedway. The NASCAR Whelen Modified Division will join the ACT Late Models as part of an “ALL STAR” weekend for short track, featuring full-fendered ACT Late Models and the open-wheeled NASCAR Modifieds.

Waterbury, VT – Building on the success of the past two ACT Invitationals, officials from New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) and the American Canadian Tour (ACT) announced today that the largest touring late model series will add a second event to the ‘Magic Mile’ in 2011.
The event will be presented as part of the IZOD Indy Car Series weekend on August 12-13, 2011 at the largest sports and entertainment facility in New England, the region’s only super speedway. The 2011 season of speed is fast approaching and so are ticket renewal deadlines for the most action-packed year in the history of New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
NASCAR’s Sprint Cup Series drivers will make their first of two appearances on a new date, July 17, in the LENOX Industrial Tools 301, and because of an overwhelming response from race fans the ticket renewal deadline for this event has been extended to Oct. 26.
Joining NASCAR’s elite once again next summer will be the NASCAR Nationwide Series, K&N Pro Series East and the New England favorite Whelen Modified Tour.

LOUDON, N.H.(Sept. 19, 2010) — The picture told the story.
Clint Bowyer’s No. 33 Chevrolet spun in a cloud of smoke as Bowyer celebrated Sunday’s victory in the Sylvania 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
In the same frame, Tony Stewart’s No. 14 Chevy coasted slowly across the finish line, out of fuel and out of the running for a race win that had seemed a distinct possibility barely more than a lap earlier.
Bowyer, the last driver to qualify for the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup, and Stewart both gambled on fuel after pitting for the last time on Lap 208 of 300 at the 1.058-mile racetrack.

Joey Polewarczyk: ACT Late Model Tour
ACT Invitational
Joey Polewarczyk Jr. of Hudson, N.H., won the ACT Late Model Tour’s second annual ACT Invitational at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon, N.H., on Saturday, September 18. Polewarczyk, who earlier this season gave Ford Racing its first ACT win, handed the manufacturer its first ACT Invitational victory. Polewarczyk started 29th in the 43-car field and rallied to the front in the 60-lap event by taking the lead on Lap 54. Polewarczyk called the victory “the biggest win of my career.” It was his third win in ACT competition this season, all coming since mid-July.

LOUDON, N.H. (Sept. 18, 2010)—At the end of a long two-man duel between polesitter and race winner Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick, James Buescher came within a whisker of stealing the show.
Driving his own No. 18 Toyota, Busch, however, surged ahead off Turn 2 Saturday at 1.058-mile New Hampshire Motor Speedway after a restart with two laps left in TheRaceDayRaffleSeries.com 175 to win the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race by .280 seconds over Buescher, who took issue with Busch’s tactics on Lap 174.
