Lee, NH – Jay Sands of Hampton continued his impressive 2015 Late Model Sportsman campaign at Lee USA Speedway on Friday night, capturing the win in the prestigious Lance Davis Memorial 50-lapper for the R & R Public Wholesale-sponsored division. Sands was just one of eight feature winners on another exciting night of racing action at New Hampshire’s “Center of Speed”.

Polesitter Nate Leavitt of Buxton, ME battled side by side with Newmarket’s Bryan Kruczek for the first several laps before finally giving up the lead and dropping back a couple of spots. A lap 10 caution for a spin by Jimmy Ryder saw Kruczek, Jay Sands, and Leavitt leading the way, with Sands quickly moving to the front when racing resumed.

WINCHESTER—It was another fine evening for racing this past Saturday at the high banks of Monadnock Speedway as the Pro 4 Modified series came to town to join with the regular Whelen All-American divisions. Track owner Larry Cirillo had Ricky Craven’s old Winston #1 racecar out for some joy laps along with a few lucky fans in the passenger seat before the festivities kicked off for the night.

The story of the night came in the Sportsman Modified division as Scott MacMichael (2nd in points) closed the gap on leader Bill Kimball. Since encountering motor issues early this summer, MacMichael has seen a resurgence. With his 5th win of the year, third consecutive win in weekly action, he has his sights firmly set on Kimball and the points lead.

ACT Tunes Up for Bond Invitational at New Hampshire Motor Speedway

RPM_6310Loudon, NH – The American-Canadian Tour (ACT) held its annual Test and Tune session Wednesday, August 26 at Loudon’s New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Twenty-four ACT Late Model drivers took to the track in preparation for the 7th Annual Bond Auto ACT Invitational Saturday, September 26

 

Lempster, NH’s Guy Caron set the fast time of the day with a lap of 31.926 seconds. Three-time Invitational winner Eddie MacDonald of Rowley, MA was second-fastest at 31.974 seconds and ranked at the top of the charts in nearly every session.

Bridgewater, MA – This past Friday evening, NEMA made a return to Claremont Speedway. Beautiful weather, despite a grim forecast, and a professionally run operation greeted the winged warriors at the Speedway.

“I’m still at a loss for words. I don’t even know what to say,” were the first words from Jim Chambers on Saturday, following his first ever NEMA win at Claremont Speedway.

WINCHESTER,NH—It was a beautiful day on Saturday at Monadnock Speedway following the disappointment of being washed out last week just before the event got going. This week, the Valenti Modified Racing Series came to town for the Victor Johnson Memorial 100 race.
All six of the regular weekly divisions also competed on Saturday.

In the Young Guns 15 lap feature, Alexander Pearl took the lead and never looked back, capturing his 2nd win of the year by a big margin over 2nd place Daniel Starkweather. Jaret Curtis, Chase Curtis, and Chris Buffone rounded out the field of 12-15 year olds.
“The car ran good today,” Pearl said, “I’m really happy with it.”

Winchester, NH. – Emotionally drained after completing a 100-lap race slowed once by a minor spin, Les Hinckley III, of Windsor Locks, CT, sat for a brief period speaking only with series officials, before exiting his race car to a cheering crowd and well wishers.

The Windsor Locks, CT, driver had just completed his journey back to racing and won the Valenti Modified Racing Series ‘Victor Johnson 100’, Saturday night, Aug 22, at Monadnock Speedway, Winchester, NH.
