Mid-Season Shootout at Big Daddy’s Speedbowl
The best-kept secret in family entertainment is Big Daddy’s Speedbowl and that’s because we race on Sunday afternoons. Race fans are used to events running late into the night and then driving home. At Big Daddy’s on the Fourth of July, the extra-length, double-points features for the Ryzak Oil And Propane Mid-Season Shootout finished at 8:15! When people in Central New Hampshire and Vermon get used to that, the track will need to expand the seating.
Captain Bruce Morrill’s Company of colonial artillery from Franklin, NH opened the day with a 21 gun salute fired from their replica black powder cannons.

Bill Kimball Celebrates Firecracker Victory!
Winchester, NH: Fans packed the high banks stands as they prepared to deal with hot temperatures and an even a hotter racing program. The regular full schedule of Mini Stocks, Super Stocks, Outlaw Pros and Sportsman Modifieds would be joined by the touring Modified Racing Series pounding out 100 laps. The show would conclude with a huge fireworks display know as some of the best in the area.
The competitors would deal with their cars and track changing as the temperatures soared at the 5 pm start time. As qualifying began Mini Stock multi time winner Tim Jackson would have to be pushed off the track and was unable to answer the feature bell.

PASS North: Ben Rowe reigns, breaks Clark’s skein
Naples ME (7/3/10) Ben Rowe has run up front in all four Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North races to date and Saturday night the four time series champ took Scott Mulkern’s Community Pharmacies 48 to victory lane, a first in the win column for the new team led by journeyman crew chief Seth Holbrook.
Rowe took the lead for good on lap 84 of Saturday night’s 150 lap Fourth of July Spectacular at Canaan (NH) Fair Speedway, battling with Johnny Clark over the final sixty six laps to claim the victory and foil Clark’s shot at four straight PASS North super late model wins.

Canaan Fair Speedway Race Report
Johnny Clark of Farmingdale, Maine, finished second in the PASS North Series Firecracker 150 at Canaan Fair Speedway in Canaan, N.H., on Saturday, July 3. Clark’s runner-up finish snapped a three-race winning streak for the fourt-time series champion and current points leader. Clark started 11th and moved into second by the one-third point of the event and even led for a brief stretch before giving the lead over to eventual winner Ben Rowe just past the halfway point..

Ben Rowe: PASS North Series
Canaan Fair Speedway Race Report
Ben Rowe of Turner, Maine, won the PASS North Series Firecracker 150 at Canaan Fair Speedway in Canaan, N.H., on Saturday, July 3. The victory was the 33rd career PASS North win for the four-time series champion and his first in the Mulkern Racing No. 48 Community Pharmacies Chevrolet. Rowe led on two occasions, taking the lead for good from series points leader Johnny Clark shortly after a restart near the halfway point of the event. It was Rowe’s fourth career Canaan Fair Speedway win.

Canaan Fair Speedway Race Preview
PASS North Series Rookie of the Year leader Joey Doiron of Berwick, Maine, tries to keep his momentum going in the Firecracker 150 at Canaan Fair Speedway in Canaan, N.H., on Saturday, July 3. For the second straight race, Doiron tackles a track where his only prior experience is in a Limited Sportsman car, but for the second straight race he’ll try and pull another top-10 out of his first visit. Doiron is sixth in the overall PASS North standings and has a 219-point lead in the rookie standings over Dustin Hubbard.
