NEMST: Emerson Cayer Ties For All Time Wins With Twin State Victory

The weather finally turned around for the North East Mini Stock Tour after a disappointing rainout on June 2nd at Waterford Speedbowl the sun was bright and skies were clear as 19 tour type mini stocks rolled into Twin State Speedway in Claremont, NH.

As the first round of practice started NHMS winner and current NEMST point leader Mike Mason experienced car troubles that required him be pushed of the track. As the rest of the competitors dialed their machines in for the race a few fast stand outs prevailed from the pack to set the mark others were reaching for.

Once the rest of the divisions finished practice the NEMST officials held a drivers meeting and also revealed the starting lineup for the heats races according to draw. John Kelly was also drawn to win the Tater’s NASCAR Cash bonus of $70. The NEMST unveiled new Texas Roadhouse North East Mini Stock Tour sweatshirts available and many fans and crew members purchased their copies.

Hudson Speedway Race Report for June 17th

Nick Dombrowski gave his Dad a nice present on Father’s day by winning his first ever Thunder light feature event. Dombrowski led the caution-free event from the drop of the green til the checkers fell.

Andrew Morin had won the previous 3 Thunder Light features but fell behind early and couldn’t make up the ground he lost and finished second. Max Chaput finished third.

White Mountain Champion, Crazy Horse Continue Search For Speed

Despite winning a total of 17 races in 2010 and 2011, claiming consecutive Late Model championships and owning the all-time career win mark at White Mountain Motorsports Park, Quinny Welch isn’t one to sit around and admire his trophy case.

In fact, his No. 78 IBEW Local 104 Chevrolet spent the winter months of this past offseason in various stages of disarray at the Crazy Horse Racing building in South Paris, Maine – with Welch working side-by-side with Crazy Horse owner Mitch Green in search of improvement.

White Mountain Motorsports Park Pulls The Plug

With the rain coming down and a flood watch in effect, White Mountain Motorsports Park has been forced to cancel racing for this Saturday, June, 2, 2012.

Racing will resume next Saturday evening at 5pm with all five racing divisions seeing action. In addition we will welcome the Antique Racers for their only visit of the 2012 season. The nostalgia and memories of racing in times gone by is something not to be missed.

Racing begins at 5pm, with the gates opening at 1pm and practice starting at 3pm. Admission is $10 for adults and $2 for children under 10.

THE STORY

Lonnie Sommerville of Saint John, New Brunswick, will try and bounce back from a long day last time out when the PASS North Series holds the PASS 150 at Riverside Speedway in Groveton, N.H., on Sunday, June 3. Sommerville finished 12th at White Mountain Motorsports Park last weekend, plagued by both tire pressure and carburetor issues during the feature event, and the Mulkern Racing No. 48 A.E. McKay Builders Chevrolet will try and rebound this Sunday at Riverside. Sommerville has never competed at Riverside Speedway, which was off the PASS schedule in 2011. Despite the bad luck of the last two weeks, Sommerville still sits third in the PASS North standings, just 13 points out of the lead.

PASS North Riverside Speedway preview

PASS NorthThe Pro All Stars Series (PASS) takes its racing road show to northern New Hampshire on Sunday June 3 when all three PASS North touring series tackle the tough quarter mile known as Riverside Speedway.

The Groveton speed plant will host the touring pros after a one year hiatus and fans of the Super Late Model, Mod and Sportsman series are anxiously anticipating their return to the Connecticut river valley oval.
