CHARLOTTE, NC (February 20) – As the remnants of a major winter storm finally disappear in the Southeast, Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Model and Pro Late Model teams up and down the East Coast are making their final preparations for the kickoff to the much anticipated 2014 racing season. And it all starts with two big weekends of racing in the state of South Carolina.
On March 1, the season gets under way in the upstate with the Fox Carolina 150 at the legendary Greenville-Pickens Speedway. Not only will it be the first race of the year for the PASS South Super Late Models and PASS Pro Late Models, but it will also be the first of six PASS National Championship events. The Fox Carolina 150 will bring together the best of the Southeast, such as two-time defending PASS National Champion Jay Fogleman, to compete against top New England short trackers like Joey Doiron and former PASS National Champions Cassius Clark and Ben Rowe.

CHARLOTTE, NC (February 11) – The Pro All Stars Series (PASS) looks to embark on one of its biggest seasons yet as the series season opener approaches on March 1 at the historic Greenville-Pickens Speedway in South Carolina. The PASS National Championship Series will take center stage as the PASS South Super Late Models will be featured in the Fox Carolina 150. A strong field of PASS Pro Late Models will make their first ever trip to Greenville for 50 laps of short track excitement. And, if that was not enough, the strong weekend of racing will also include the first of three companion events with PASS for the Southeast Super Trucks.
Greenville-Pickens Speedway first began hosting stock car races in 1946 after a time in which it operated as a horse racing facility. Man-made horsepower has been the name of the game at GPS for nearly 70 years now. A track made famous by the names of former track champions that now line its walls. Names like Pearson, Earnhardt, Lindley, and Porter just to name a few.

CHARLOTTE, NC (February 1) – Due to circumstances out of their control and with great disappointment, Pro All Stars Series (PASS) officials announced today the cancellation of next weekend’s Winter Meltdown at New Smyrna Speedway. Miscommunication which resulted in the speedway website not being updated with information about the event, the speedway marquee not being changed to promote the event and a test session scheduled by the speedway that would have extremely limited PASS teams practice time on Friday led to the cancellation. For any teams that pre-entered for the Winter Meltdown, those entries will be refunded and mailed out on Monday. Any teams that would like to transfer entries to the Greenville-Pickens Speedway event on March 1 need to contact the PASS offices by Monday.
“We are extremely disappointed in having to cancel the Winter Meltdown at New Smyrna Speedway,” said PASS President Tom Mayberry. “I know that this is very inconvenient for our teams that have prepared their cars and booked travel to Florida, but we felt this decision was best in light of the circumstances. With that said, we’re very excited to kick our season off at Greenville-Pickens on March 1.”

CHARLOTTE, NC (January 28) – Interest continues to grow as teams prepare for the first major Super Late Model points race of 2014. The Pro All Stars Series (PASS) National Championship Series and South Super Late Model season kicks off in just over two weeks with the 3rd Running of the Florida Winter Meltdown on February 8 at New Smyrna Speedway. Leading the latest group of contenders to enter will be two rookies who have high hopes for wins and championships in the New Year. Both Jared Irvan and Trevor Noles hope to build on partial schedules from 2013 that saw them up front and challenging the veterans.
From his first time racing a PASS Pro Late Model for Coulter Motorsports in late 2012, Noles has been a threat for victory everywhere he goes. Noles dominated the PASS Pro Late Model division last year winning seven races en route to the championship. But, it was in the Coulter Motorsports PASS South Super Late Model entry that many began to take notice of the young driver from Fuquay-Varina, NC. In eight starts, Noles finished in the top 10 five times, capped off by a runner up finish at Southern National Motorsports Park. Thanks to his strong season in 2013, Noles will step into the Coulter Super Late Model full-time with an eye towards the PASS National and PASS South titles.
