Poirier claims Pro Open final at Pico Mountain for East Coast Snocross series,

Muller completes sweep of Semi-Pro classes
KILLINGTON, Vermont (April 4, 2012) – Former champion Danny Poirier blasted his way to victory in the Pro Open final Sunday, as East Coast Snocross (ECS) wrapped up its inaugural season at the historic Pico Mountain ski resort.
Poirier (Hulten Speed Sports/No. 312), of St. Theodore, QC, grabbed the holeshot in the day’s biggest race, only to be passed by Morin as the two started down the track’s treacherous downhill section. Morin carried too much speed at the bottom and launched his sled out over the berm, coming to rest on its side next to the ECS office trailer.

Morin, Muller lock up 2011 titles with wins at Pico Mountain for East Coast Snocross series,

KILLINGTON, Vermont (April 2, 2011) — Veteran snowmobile racers Mathieu Morin and Jacob Muller earned final round wins in their respective divisions and locked up the 2011 class titles Saturday, as East Coast Snocross (ECS) completed Day 1 of its season finale at the beautiful Pico Mountain ski resort.
Morin, of Val-D’Or, QC, took the lead from top qualifier Danny Poirier before the first full lap was completed, then raced away to a convincing victory in the 12-lap Pro Stock final. Red-hot rookie Corin Todd (JAC Racing/Arctic Cat) backed up a pair of third place finishes the previous week with a solid runner-up effort. Minnesota native Matt Piche (Hulten Speed Sports/No. 51) converted the momentum built from his win last week into a fine third-place finish.

Season finale at Pico to conclude inaugural season for East Coast Snocross series,

CHESHIRE, Conn. (March 25, 2011) – After months of training, eight weekends of racing and hundreds of miles on the highway, it all boils down to one last shootout.

Peek’n Peak Resort next stop for East Coast Snocross Series,

CHESHIRE, Conn. (Mar. 18, 2011) – After a pair of off-weekends that saw some teams venture west to compete in national events, the time has come to get back at it here in the east.
With just two points races remaining, those in the hunt for class titles will be highly focused as East Coast Snocross (ECS) gets set for Round 8 on the 2011 schedule on Saturday and Sunday, March 26-27, at the beautiful Peek‘n Peak Resort & Spa in Findley Lake, New York.
Spectator gates open at 10 a.m. each day, with racing getting under way promptly at 10:30 a.m. Admission is just $12 per day for adults, children age 10 and under are admitted free with a paying adult. Pit passes (valid through the weekend) will be available for an extra $10. (more…)

Morin inches closer to Pro titles with wins at Snow Ridge for East Coast Snocross Series,

Brunelle breaks winless drought in Semi-Pro
TURIN, N.Y. (Mar. 7, 2011) – Red-hot Mathieu Morin inched one step closer to locking up the 2011 titles last weekend, winning both the Pro Stock and Pro Open finals as East Coast Snocross (ECS) completed Round 7 on the 2011 schedule at the Snow Ridge Ski Resort.
Morin (Ingles Performance/Ski-doo), of Val-D’Or, QC, held off chief rival Danny Poirier (Hulten Speed Sports/Polaris) to claim Saturday’s 10-lap Stock final, while Poirier’s HSS/Polaris teammate Matt Piche filled out the podium. Morin’s margin of victory over Poirier was a mere 2.4 seconds.
