MACDONALD FINISHES FOURTEENTH AT GREENVILLE
The much anticipated K&N Pro Series East season opener took the green flag in the Kevin Whitaker Chevrolet 150 at Greenville Pickens Speedway after a week’s rain delay yet the outcome was not the anticipated one for Eddie MacDonald and the Grimm Racing Team. The series veteran fought a loose handling racecar for much of the race hanging on for the 14th spot when the checker flag flew.
“The car was so loose at the end, I felt like I was dirt-tracking in the turns. The car was really good early in the race and we were moving forward for the first forty laps but then it just kept getting worse,” said MacDonald after the race.

Moffitt Keeps On Rolling At Greenville
Led wire-to-wire to win K&N Pro Series East opener
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Brett Moffitt started off 2011 the same place he ended last year: in Victory Lane. The only difference was the uniform.
In his first race for Michael Waltrip Racing, Moffitt won the Kevin Whitaker Chevrolet 150 Saturday night at Greenville Pickens Speedway. Moffitt led all 150 laps in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East opener at the historic half-mile.

Hodgson Lands Top-10 In K&N Pro Series East Debut
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Cody Hodgson of Escalon, Calif., finished 10th in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East Kevin Whitaker Chevrolet 150 at Greenville Pickens Speedway on Saturday, April 2. Hodgson also qualified the No. 03 Ocala Gran Prix Dodge in the Top-10 in his series debut with Dave Davis Motorsports, posting the ninth-fastest speed on the 32-car starting grid. The Sunoco Rookie of the Year candidate rallied for the impressive finish after twice pitting to fix damage suffered in accidents involving other cars. In a race featuring 19 rookies in the field, only four of them finished ahead of Hodgson.

Greenville Pickens Speedway Race Preview
Cody Hodgson of Escalon, Calif., makes his NASCAR K&N Pro Series East debut in the Kevin Whitaker Chevrolet 150 at Greenville Pickens Speedway in Greenville, S.C., on Saturday, March 26. The Sunoco Rookie of the Year candidate joins Dave Davis Motorsports to tackle the entire 12-race schedule in 2011. A two-time WKA Grand National Champion in the go-kart ranks with some experience in regional Late Models and Formula 3 open-wheel cars, this marks the 19-year-old Hodgson’s first full-time foray into stock car racing. Though he has never competed at any of the 10 tracks on the K&N Pro Series East schedule, he did test at Greenville Pickens with Dave Davis Motorsports earlier this month.

Homecoming Sweet For SoCal’s Bowles – 2009 K&N West Champ Returns For Showdown Victory
IRWINDALE, Calif. – Jason Bowles got the one victory that had alluded him during his NASCAR K&N Pro Series West career. The Ontario, Calif., native drove the No. 75 Rusty Wallace Racing Experience Toyota to the win in the NASCAR Toyota All-Star Showdown Saturday night.
Bowles grabbed the lead on the race’s final restart and held off DJ Kennington through the final eight laps. The win for Bowles, the 2009 NASCAR K&N Pro Series West champion, came in front of a sold-out crowd at NASCAR’s premier short-track event.

Kobyluck To Race All-Star Showdown Later This Month
Waterford, Conn. (January 3, 2011): Matt Kobyluck and Mohegan Sun Casino have reached an agreement to team up for the 2011 NASCAR Toyota All-Star Showdown later this month at the Toyota Speedway in Irwindale, Calif. Kobyluck is a two-time winner of the event, and one of only a handful of drivers to have participated in every Showdown since its inception in 2004.
“We’re going out there to try and put a third win under our belts,” said Kobyluck, who won in 2006 and 2009. “It’s such a great event because you’re racing against the best there is out there. It’s what every racer wants to do, and winning that race is a feeling like no other.”
