Accident Relegates Team To 23rd Place Finish

Dover, DE (September 27, 2010): Matt Kobyluck led two laps of the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East season finale at Dover International Speedway Friday evening before hitting the wall and prematurely ending his day. The No. 40 Mohegan Sun Casino Chevrolet lost a right front tire before the contact was made. They were credited with a 23rd place finish in the race and a tenth place finish in the final point standings.

“We’re a better team than (10th). What it boils down to is that we needed to be more competitive at a lot of the events,” said Kobyluck. “Obviously, finishing tenth in the points is very unsettling for me and very disappointing.”

Kobyluck was confident for the Sunoco 150 after two practice sessions on Thursday afternoon put them among the top-10 fastest cars of the day. He backed that up with a qualifying effort of 150.238 mph (23.962 seconds) to earn a ninth place starting position.

Moffitt wins at Dover; Truex wraps up 2nd straight K&N East title

DOVER, Del. — It was a pair of teenagers who conquered the “Monster Mile” like veterans Friday.

Eighteen-year-old Brett Moffitt picked up his second straight win at Dover International Speedway in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East season finale Friday in the Sunoco 150. Ryan Truex, 18, clinched his second-consecutive championship simply by taking the green-flag and capped off his title run with a third-place finish.

Moffitt took advantage of a mechanical issue that sidelined his Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Max Gresham on the first of two green-white-checkered attempts to inherit the lead, and then drove away from Corey LaJoie, 18, on the final restart to pick up his second win of the season and fourth of his career.

Shaw Posts Top-10 At Dover; Concludes Season With Sixth Place Finish In Points

Dover, DE (September 25, 2010): DJ Shaw recovered from a late-race spin to finish the Sunoco 150 at Dover International Speedway in tenth. Shaw led 13 laps of the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East season finale and was a solid contender in the top-five after an early race pit strategy paid big dividends. The finish was enough to move the 20-year-old driver from ninth to sixth in the points.

“Finishing sixth is a success for us. We wanted a top-five in the points and we would have been pretty close to it if I had not gotten spun out,” said Shaw. “But overall, it’s a good end to the season.”

Fadden Racing Concludes 2010 Season With 21st Place Finish

Dover, DE (September 25, 2010): Steve Park posted a 21st place finish after a late race accident took him out of the Sunoco 150 at Dover International Speedway 11 laps before its conclusion. Park was behind the wheel of the No. 54 VanDyk Baler Corp./Bollegraaf Chevrolet, a car owned by NDS Motorsports and prepared and crewed by Fadden Racing.

“We struggled all weekend – the car was really free,” said Fadden Racing team owner Mike Olsen. “Harry (Norcross) and the guys changed everything on it trying to get it better. We did accomplish that a little bit for the race, but we had to fine tune on it. Steve did a really good job with the car and probably could’ve finished in the top-15.”
