New Hampshire Motor Speedway Voted Best Automotive Event in New Hampshire

LOUDON, N.H. (June 23, 2011) – New England’s largest sports and entertainment facility has been voted Best of N.H. by N.H. Magazine for its FANtasy Drive open house event in April.

The speedway was voted best automotive event as the editor’s pick. Each year, FANtasy Drive kicks off the jam-packed racing season at the speedway. The event features a unique opportunity for fans that had purchased a ticket to the LENOX Industrial Tools 301, the MoveThatBlock.com Indy(r) 225 or the SYLVANIA 300 to drive their personal vehicles around the “The Magic Mile.”

Daytona 500 Champ Highlights Governors Breakfast

LOUDON, N.H. (June 22, 2011) -The 2011 Daytona 500 Champion Trevor Bayne is set to be this year’s key-note speaker at the 19th annual New Hampshire Motor Speedway Governors Breakfast on Friday, July 15.

Driver of the No. 16 Roush Fenway Racing Ford in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, Bayne launched his way into stardom by winning this year’s Daytona 500. The 20 year old also drives part-time for the veteran Sprint Cup Series team Wood Brothers Racing.

THIRTEENTH PLACE FINISH FOR EDDIE MACDONALD AT LANGLEY

The K & N Pro Series East began the second half of the season in the Visit Hampton Va 175 at Langley Speedway in Virginia where the Grimm Construction Chevy posted a disappointing 13th place finish on the .396 oval. For the previous three races the team had satisfying runs and was confident for a
solid finish.

“We are disappointed with our run today. We thought we had turned the corner and were headed in the right direction with our last three races,” said Eddie MacDonald before continuing, “We missed the set up today and the car just stayed real loose for the whole race. We tried to tighten it up with a
couple of pit stops but the car remained real loose coming off the turns. I tried a number of different lines but it just didn’t work out.”

Kyle Busch Looks to Continue Winning Ways at New Hampshire Motor Speedway

LOUDON, N.H. (June 22, 2011) -When NASCAR races into New Hampshire Motor Speedway fans can bet Kyle Busch will be a factor to capture at least one checkered flag during the LENOX Industrial Tools 301 weekend, July 15-17.

In just seven years of racing on “The Magic Mile,” Busch has claimed five wins, two of which came last year. He became the first ever repeat winner in the NASCAR Nationwide Series at NHMS in 23 races. When NASCAR returned in September, Busch also dominated the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race, winning both the pole and 175-lap event.

NSCS Race Recap: Hamlin Breaks Through With Win At Michigan

BROOKLYN, Mich. — For the first time this season—at a track where he was expected to contend—Denny Hamlin finally dodged the pitfalls that have plagued him in previous races and closed the deal.

First out of the pits after a stop under caution on Lap 192 of 200, Hamlin held off Matt Kenseth after a restart with five laps left and claimed his first victory of the season in Sunday’s Heluva Good 400 at Michigan International Speedway.
