D.J. Shaw Delivers Season Best
For Spraker Racing Enterprises In K&N Series

MOORESVILLE, North Carolina (June 8, 2011) – – D.J. Shaw delivered a season best finish for Spraker Racing Enterprises this past weekend at Bowman Gray (N.C.) Stadium in the Army Strong 150 giving the team some welcomed momentum heading to Gresham (Ga.) Motorsports Park this weekend.

The inaugural event at Bowman Gray (N.C.) Stadium was bound to produce some excitement and the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East delivered that. The 21-year old Shaw in his No. 37 Precision JLM Chevrolet Impala methodically worked his way from his 18th starting position and used patience during a race that featured yellow flag fever to solider on to an impressive fifth place finish.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Cody Hodgson of Escalon, Calif., posted his best-career finish in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East with an strong 8th-place run in the Army Strong 150 at Bowman Gray Stadium on Saturday, June 4. Hodgson’s career night came in the series’ inaugural visit to the track affectionately known as “The Madhouse.” After starting 22nd in the 27-car field, the Sunoco Rookie of the Year candidate slowly worked his way to the front by avoiding one of the many spins that dotted the evening. For his efforts, Hodgson leapt three spots in the K&N Pro Series East standings to ninth through five races.

LAST LAP WRECK COSTS EDDIE MACDONALD

For over 100 laps Eddie MacDonald ran in the top five in the Army Strong 150 K&N Pro Series East race at Bowman Gray Stadium before a wreck on the last lap produced a 13th place finish. The Grimm Construction Chevy had to battle from a 21st starting position on the tight flat quarter mile oval to run in the fifth spot by lap 38.

“This is so disappointing because we had such a great car and looked like we were going to have another good finish two races in a row (a third place finish in Iowa),” said MacDonald. “We really started out in a bad spot because the car bottomed out in qualifying but I was able to miss the wrecks in front and move up through the pack. The car really handled well and we needed it to be because this is a tough place to get

NSCS Race Recap: Keselowski stretches fuel for Kansas victory

KANSAS CITY, Kan.—Stretching his fuel mileage to the maximum, Brad Keselowski coasted across the finish line to win Sunday’s STP 400 at Kansas Speedway.

In winning his first Sprint Cup race of the season and the second of his career, Keselowski got 57 green-flag laps out of his last tank of fuel. Keselowski prevented runner-up Dale Earnhardt Jr., his old boss at JR Motorsports, from ending a drought that reached 106 races.
