Joey Polewarczyk Jr.: NASCAR K&N Pro Series East – New Hampshire Motor Speedway Race Preview
Joey Polewarczyk Jr. of Hudson, N.H., makes his third start of the season when the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East visits New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon, N.H., for the New England 125 on Friday, June 25. Polewarczyk reunites with car owner Dave Davis, who supplied the ride which produced Polewarczyk’s best careerk K&N Series finish. In 2008, Polewarczyk finished 6th behind the wheel of the same car he will pilot on Friday. Polewarczyk has made two of his five career series starts at New Hampshire, qualifying fourth for last September’s race at the track. In two starts this season with Fadden Racing to open the year, Polewarczyk posted finishes of 11th at Greenville, S.C., and 21st at South Boston, Va.

Moffitt Surprises With Run – Earns second career NASCAR K&N East pole award
LOUDON, N.H. — There may not have been anybody more surprised that Brett Moffitt earned the 21 Means 21 Pole Award presented by Coors Light in NASCAR K&N Pro Series East qualifying Thursday than Moffitt himself.
After only being 21st fastest in practice earlier in the day, Moffitt rolled off a first lap of 30.356 seconds around the 1.058-mile oval for an average speed of 125.471 mph. Going out 29th out of 32 qualifiers for Friday’s New England 125, Moffitt was quick enough to knock New Hampshire native D.J. Shaw off the provisional pole.
Moffitt’s only other career pole came in his series debut in 2009 at Greenville (S.C.) Pickens Speedway. The 17-year-old from Grimes, Iowa, is coming off a win at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway.

RYAN NEWMAN – Creating Another Magical Moment at ‘The Magic Mile’
KANNAPOLIS, N.C. (June 23, 2010) – Over the course of his nine-year NASCAR Sprint Cup Series career, Ryan Newman has enjoyed some magical moments at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon. After all, the 1.058-mile flat track commonly known as “The Magic Mile” was the site of Newman’s first point-paying Sprint Cup victory during his rookie season in 2002. On that September afternoon, the South Bend, Ind., native started from the pole and dominated the rain-shortened race, leading 143 of 207 laps.

(June 22, 2010) – Miller Lite Dodge driver Kurt Busch has found somewhat of a competitive stronghold on the flat 1.058-mile New Hampshire Motor Speedway in recent years, recording a win and posting a 4.0 average finish during the last four races there. The 2004 NASCAR Sprint Cup Champion and three-time winner at NHMS is focused on keeping that successful streak going in this weekend’s LENOX Industrial Tools 301 at the “Magic Mile.”

NASCAR Sprint Cup Race Winner Keselowski enters TD Bank 250
OXFORD, Maine – Brad Keselowski, who pilots the number 12 car for Penske Motorsports in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, has announced his entry in the TD Bank 250 at Oxford Plains Speedway on July 18.
Qualifying for the famed race begins at 2 pm on race day, with the main event scheduled for 6:30.
Keselowski emerged as a force in the NASCAR Nationwide Series in 2008 while driving for Dale Earnhardt, Jr’s JR Motorsports. He finished third in points that year notching two wins. He followed up that effort with a third place finish in the Nationwide Series points in 2009. His success in the Nationwide Series led to a ride in the Sprint Cup, which he capitalized on with a win at Talladega. His Talladega win was the defining moment of his young career. In 2010, Brad is running both a full Nationwide Series schedule in addition to his Sprint Cup duties. Keselowski currently sits as the leader in the Nationwide Series points and in twenty-fourth position in the Sprint Cup. In addition to his success on the track, Brad has quickly endeared himself to NASCAR fans as they chose him the Nationwide Series Most Popular Driver in 2008 and 2009. (more…)

Shaw Looks To Home Advantage For Momentum
Center Conway, N.H.: DJ Shaw is no stranger to New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
The 20-year old son of Dale Shaw, the 1994 K&N Pro Series East Champion and three-time winner at NHMS, practically grew up around the 1.058-mile oval. Although he is a candidate for the 2010 Rookie-of-the-Year program, the youngest Shaw got his feet wet in the series last season starting both races at the ‘Magic Mile’. Entering the June 25 New England 125, DJ is more confident than ever. He is currently eighth in the K&N Pro Series East point standings with one top-five and three top-10 finishes in only four starts.
