DOVER, Del.—Carl Edwards pulled away from Brad Keselowski and Clint Bowyer after a restart on Lap 168 of 200 to win Saturday’s OneMain Financial 200 Nationwide Series race at Dover International Speedway.
The victory was Edwards’ seventh of the year and the 36th of his career. Keselowski held off Bowyer in the closing laps to claim the runner-up position, with Bowyer running third.

KANNAPOLIS, N.C., (Sept. 28, 2011) – Back in the day, Tony Stewart gave George Thorogood a run for his money as the real Delaware Destroyer.
Wilmington, Del., native Thorogood, and his band, the Delaware Destroyers, pumped out such hits as “Bad to the Bone” and a resounding cover of Bo Diddley’s “Who Do You Love” en route to 16 studio albums, two of which went Platinum while six more went Gold.

In 2010 Ryan Truex, a native of Mayetta, N.J., won his second consecutive NASCAR K&N Pro Series East title and was officially awarded the crown at Dover International Speedway, his home track.
Truex, 19, brother of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Martin Truex Jr., began the 2011 season driving for Pastrana-Waltrip Racing, the team with which he won his K&N championships (then Michael Waltrip Racing). However after 10 races, that opportunity shifted, gearing more toward the preparation for team co-owner and action sports superstar Travis Pastrana to make his way into NASCAR.

Earlier Talladega Chase Race Among Next Year’s Lineup Adjustments
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Sept. 28, 2011) – NASCAR announced today the 2012 schedule for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, with a lineup featuring a number of adjustments from the 2011 edition.
“We believe the 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series schedule will once again provide fans with what they’ve come to expect every season – the world’s most exciting and competitive form of motorsports,” said Brian France, NASCAR chairman and CEO. “Next year’s schedule has a few adjustments that we think will be good for the fans and good for the overall flow of the season. One thing will remain constant, however, and that’s the intense competition we see week in and week out from our drivers and race teams.”

Tony Stewart came into the 2011 Chase for the Sprint Cup 0-26. But two races into the 10-race Chase, Stewart is undefeated.
The driver of the No. 14 Mobil 1/Office Depot Chevrolet Impala for Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR) kept up his opportune winning streak by taking the checkered flag in Sunday’s Sylvania 300 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon. The victory came just six days after Stewart scored his first victory of the season in the rain-postponed Geico 400 at Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, Ill. – the opening round of the Chase.

Eddie MacDonald crossed the finish line in the rain-shortened New Hampshire 125 in fifth place in the K&N Pro Series East race at the “Magic Mile.” The Rowley, Mass. veteran felt the car was much better than the top five run especially after starting on the outside pole position with a qualifying run of 127.363mph (29.905 sec.) in the 36 car field.
