Ironman Effort Gives Keselowski Crucial Win at Pocono Raceway
LONG POND, Pa. (August 7, 2011) – Brad Keselowski, driver of the No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS), picked up his second win of 2011 in the Good Sam RV Insurance 500 at Pocono Raceway on Sunday afternoon. Keselowski, who earlier in the week had been involved in a serious accident while testing at Road Atlanta, gave his best Willis Reed impersonation as he battled through a fractured ankle and strained back suffered in the crash to secure the victory. In the process, the Penske Racing driver placed himself in the lead for one of the two wild card berths into the 2011 “Chase for the Championship.” (more…)

NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Race Report
SCARBOROUGH, Maine – Joey Doiron of Berwick, Maine, took home his first career NASCAR Whelen All-American Series win by taking the checkered flag in the 40-lap Pro Series feature event at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway on Saturday July 30. Doiron started third and led every lap to claim his first victory since winning in the track’s Sport Series in 2007. With only one caution period slowing the field on Lap 6, Doiron was able to pull away from the rest of the field and take the win by a full straightaway over Aaron Ricker for the first career Super Late Model win for the 2009 ACT Late Model Tour and 2010 PASS North Series Rookie of the Year. The 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season continues to be a season of firsts. Paul Menard kept the streak alive yesterday, becoming the fourth first time winner this year, capturing the Brickyard 400 checkered flag at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
