Waterford Speedbowl 9/20 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Results

13Waterford, CT (September 20, 2014) – Waterford Speedbowl returned to action after two weeks of wet weather halted its scheduled NASCAR Whelen All-American Series racing programs. First time winners for the year were the order of the night as three of the six events saw new faces in the winner’s circle. Diego Monahan of Quaker Hill led the way, picking up the SK Modified® victory in dramatic fashion. Anthony Ryan Jr. of Danbury and Pete Zaikarite of Niantic won the Valenti Auto Mall Late Model and Mini Stock races respectively, joining Monahan as first time winners on the year. Other victories went to Al Stone III of Durham in the Street Stocks, Paul Buzel of Trumbull in the SK Light Modifieds, and Mike Christopher Jr. of Wolcott in an extra-distance INEX Legend Cars race.

Peltier Makes It Three-In-A-Row With PASS South Win At Hickory

309-PASS South Print LogoHICKORY, NC (August 16) – Preston Peltier took the lead with five laps to go from race long dominator Tyler Dippel and held on for his third straight Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South Super Late Model win in the Over The Mountain 150 Saturday night at Hickory Motor Speedway. The win increases Peltier’s All-Time series wins total to 13, the most in PASS South history.

Setzer Seeking Hometown Glory In PASS South Start At Hickory

6 Setzer On TrackCHARLOTTE, NC (September 17) – Entering the 2014 Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South Super Late Model campaign, Brandon Setzer had high hopes for success. But the season, did not start out the way he had hoped. Motor problems at Greenville-Pickens and Hickory, coupled with an accident at Dillon, had Setzer mired far back in the standings. But a mid-season switch from his family owned team to the potent Dick Woodman Racing entry saw Setzer score back-to-back podium finishes at Ace and Southern National. Since then, Setzer has returned to the family team and the good runs have continued. He now sits seventh in PASS South Super Late Model points, just 34 points out of the top five as the series prepares for this weekend’s Over The Mountain 150 at Hickory Motor Speedway.

Justin Bonsignore Looking for First Stafford Victory in NAPA Fall Final Weekend

444(Stafford Springs, CT)—As the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour prepares for their final visit of the 2014 season to Stafford Motor Speedway, the race for the championship is as tight as ever. Doug Coby currently leads Justin Bonsignore by a scant 4 point margin, and the Tour heads to Loudon, NH before coming to Stafford for the NAPA Fall Final Weekend on Sept. 27-28.
