Justin Bonsignore Ready to Kick Off Season of Double Duty Racing at Stafford With 44th Annual NAPA Spring Sizzler

The West Islip, NY native doubled his career win total from 3 to 6 and was in the championship race with Doug Coby until several mechanical issues late in the season relegated him third in the final standings. Fast forward to the 2015 season and Bonsignore is ready to once again be a championship contender. As Coby and the #2 Dunleavy Truck and Trailer Repair / Hex Performance Mike Smeriglio owned team prepare to defend the championship this season, they made an almost unprecedented move of changing both their chassis and engine. The #2 team switched their chassis from Troyer to LFR and will utilize the NASCAR Spec Engine this season.

The Devoted Daredevil: Jim Boyle Makes Racing a Family Affair

NORTH STONINGTON, CT – Jim Boyle started his racing career a step behind most drivers. The East Windsor, CT resident climbed behind the wheel of a Super X car at New London-Waterford Speedbowl at age 43, with help of friends and family.

“I have always been a race fan, and now that my kids are older, and time is a little more available, it seemed like something my son, Jim Jr., and I could do together,” Boyle spoke. “We both love the sport, and he is my right-hand man, putting in the hours it takes to run competitively.”

Boyle’s wife of twenty years, Deanna, has been by his side with everything the risk-taker does; Jim loves to sky dive, scuba dive, and ride his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, as well; and his four children, and three grandchildren, are all devout race fans. The relationship between family and racing doesn’t end there.

NAPLES, ME (April 9) – What once seemed like an impossibility will be a reality in in just over a week when the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Models and American Canadian Tour (ACT) Late Models race on the same weekend at the same race track for the first time in history. On Saturday, April 18 at Oxford Plains Speedway, the Northeast’s two premier stock car sanctioning bodies will kick off their 2015 season with Twin 150 lappers. New series sponsors, AIM Recycling and Kenny U-Pull will present the PASS portion of the history making event, while Dave’s Small Engine Repair and Walker Mowers sponsor the ACT Late Model race.

Hudson, NH’s Joey Polewarczyk is the defending ACT Late Model champion, but has raced extensively throughout his career in Super Late Models. Polewarczyk most recently drove a PASS Super Late Model in last year’s Mason Dixon Meltdown. “Joey Pole” as he is known throughout the racing fraternity, along with Maine’s Travis Stearns, plan to compete in both the PASS AIM Recycling Super Late Model Presented By Kenny U-Pull feature and the ACT Late Model race. Although he knows 300 laps at Oxford Plains Speedway will not be easy, Polewarcyzk is excited about his busy weekend.
