Devil’s Bowl Speedway Moves Rescheduled Date to Sunday

IMG_6849WEST HAVEN, VT – Devil’s Bowl Speedway officials have announced that the facility’s final dirt track stock car race of the season will have to wait for one additional day. The Autosaver Ford/Springfield Buick-GMC “Vermont Freedom & Unity” event was postponed by rain last week and was initially rescheduled for Saturday; however, the makeup date has been reset to Sunday, October 26 at 1:00 p.m.

Devil’s Bowl Speedway Finale Postponed One Week by Rain

gksdjfafWEST HAVEN, VT – Devil’s Bowl Speedway’s final dirt track event of the season has been postponed by early morning rain showers and a poor forecast for the rest of the day on Saturday, October 18. The AutoSaver Ford/Springfield Buick-GMC “Vermont Freedom & Unity” event has been rescheduled to the following Saturday, October 25, with a start time of 2:00 p.m.

Sprint Cars Return to Devil’s Bowl Speedway on Saturday Following Successful Test

austin_1200WEST HAVEN, VT – The winged warriors of the Bond Auto Parts Sprint Cars of New England (SCoNE) tour will make their official debut at Devil’s Bowl Speedway on Saturday, October 18, joining the AutoSaver Ford/Springfield Buick-GMC “Vermont Freedom & Unity” event. A successful test was completed by two teams on Wednesday, drawing rave reviews.

Lacey Hanson, a veteran of season seasons with the SCoNE series, and 16-year-old rookie Tyler Austin each turned laps in order to help gather information for their teams and competitors alike. For Hanson, whose team is based just 10 minutes from the track in Orwell, VT, it was a productive day.
“It was great. I was glad we got to come out and practice and see what the track is like,” she said. “I think it’s going to be a great show.”

Lt. Governor Scott Named Grand Marshal for Action Packed Devil’s Bowl Dirt Finale

With inaugural “Battle at the Bowl” dirt track championships on the line, the speedway welcomes a new sponsor and an appearance by the Lieutenant Governor of Vermont on Saturday, October 18 at 2:00 p.m.

Eddie MacDonald Wins 52nd Milk Bowl at Thunder Road

akjsfasfBarre, VT – The “Outlaw” Eddie MacDonald of Rowley, Massachusetts held off two-time and defending Thunder Road Track Champion Derrick O’Donnell to claim the victory in the 52nd running of the People’s United Bank Milk Bowl at Barre’s Thunder Road on Sunday, October 12. MacDonald put together a combined overall score of 14 points in the three-segment event to become the first winner from outside of Vermont since 2010.
