WEST HAVEN, VT – Devil’s Bowl Speedway and the American-Canadian Tour have rescheduled the 101.5 The Fox Spring Green 114 stock car event, postponed last weekend, to Father’s Day on Sunday, June 15. The Spring Green will also include regular championship events for the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Bond Auto Parts Modifieds, Renegade, Central Vermont Motorcycles Mini Stocks, and SK Lights.

ACT Spring Green at Devil’s Bowl Postponed

ACT_Devil's_BowlWest Haven, VT – Devil’s Bowl Management has announced the postponement of the ACT Spring Green 114 originally scheduled for this Sunday, May 4 at Devil’s Bowl Speedway. The event has been postponed due to saturated grounds and unfavorable forecasts for this weekend.

The event will be rescheduled for a later date that will be announced as soon as it has been determined.

The American Canadian Tour heads next to Airborne Speedway in Plattsburgh on Saturday, May 17 for a 100 lap event. It has now become the third event on the nine race 2014 ACT Schedule.

WEST HAVEN, VT – Devil’s Bowl Speedway has postponed the 101.5 The Fox Spring Green 114 stock car event, scheduled for Sunday, May 4. The speedway property is saturated from recent rain and faces a rainy weekend forecast.

In addition, the Downtown Fan Festival in Downtown Rutland, VT, scheduled for Saturday, May 3, has been cancelled.

The Spring Green was scheduled to be the historic 250th event for the American-Canadian Tour Late Models. The event also was to be the first race of the 2014 season for the weekly Bond Auto Parts Modified, Renegade, and Central Vermont Motorcycles Mini Stock divisions of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series, and the debut of the SK Light division.

Devil’s Bowl Speedway officials are working closely with the American-Canadian Tour toward rescheduling the 101.5 The Fox Spring Green, and a make-up date is expected to be announced soon.
Devil’s Bowl Speedway is located on Route 22A in West Haven, VT four miles north of Exit 2 on U.S. Route 4.

Helliwell Leads ACT to Devil’s Bowl

(Photo by Eric LaFleche)Waterbury, VT – Two-time and defending American Canadian Tour Champion Wayne Helliwell, Jr. of Dover, NH finds himself atop the ACT Standings as the Tour heads into its third event of the season, the Spring Green 114 at Devil’s Bowl Speedway this Sunday, May 4. Helliwell is fresh off a $5,000 victory at Thunder Road last weekend and headed to one of his favrite tracks on the ACT schedule, the ½-mile Devil’s Bowl Speedway in West Haven, VT.

Helliwell claimed his first career ACT victory during the 2012 running of the Spring Green event at Devil’s Bowl. He then scored both ACT wins at the speedway last season, including the Spring Green 113 by a nose over eight-time ACT Champion Brian Hoar. All three wins helped him on his way to back-to-back ACT Championships.
