PASS South Racers Focus Attention To Concord And Hickory
CHARLOTTE, NC (March 9) – Following another successful and competitive Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South Super Late Model event this past weekend at Dillon Motor Speedway, the focus now shifts to two huge events at a couple of legendary North Carolina short tracks. The next two PASS South Super Late Model races will be the inaugural Southern Sizzler on March 19 at Concord Speedway and the 11th Annual Easter Bunny 150 on March 26 at Hickory Motor Speedway. PASS will be paired with the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour at Concord and the new Southern Modified Racing Series Presented By PASS at Hickory. And both events could loom large in the race for the 2016 PASS South Super Late Model title.
A trio of talented youngsters currently leads the PASS South Super Late Model standings following the first two events of the season. Rookie Kodie Conner leads the points race after a runner-up finish at Dillon Motor Speedway, over second year racer Matt Craig and defending PASS South champion, Tate Fogleman. Craig trails Conner by just two points on the strength of a pair of sixth place finishes. The Kannapolis, NC driver is excited about returning to Concord and Hickory as he seeks his first career PASS South Super Late Model win.

Brandon Michael Ready to Count Himself Among Track Championship Contenders in Stafford Speedway’s DARE Stock Division
(Stafford Springs, CT)—When the final checkered flag of the 2015 season was displayed to the DARE Stock field at Stafford Motor Speedway, perhaps no driver was more anxious to continue racing than Granville, MA native Brandon Michael. A penalty from the 2014 season meant that Michael didn’t get his 2015 season started until July 31, but once he got started racing he made every race count. In his 7 starts last season, Michael never finished worse than 6th and he scored podium finishes in each of his final 4 starts, including 2 wins. Michael enters the 2016 season with 5 career DARE Stock victories and he is looking forward to being a championship contender in 2016 with his #74 Betrock Farms team.

JIMMIE JOHNSON LEADS TEAM CHEVY WITH THIRD PLACE FINISH IN LAS VEGAS
Six Chevy SS Drivers in Top 10
LAS VEGAS – (Mar. 6, 2016) – Six-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion, Jimmie Johnson, led a group of six Team Chevy drivers to the finish in his No. 48 Kobalt Chevrolet SS at the Kobalt 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, the third round of the 2016 season. The start of the 400-mile race was delayed 26 minutes by a passing rain shower; and weather continued to be a challenge with gusty winds and sandstorms.
“It was gusty and problematic, but I expected it to be a lot worse,” said Johnson, who led 76 of the 267-lap event. “I guess when you are going 200 mph a 30 or 40 mph wind doesn’t bother it too much. It was exciting. The trash was probably the biggest problem, trying to keep the trash off the grille.”
