PASS celebrates the fourth with two spectacular events

Naples ME (6/28)The Pro All Stars Series (PASS) has a double header weekend on tap to celebrate the fourth of July and both events offer up a great way to spend a holiday weekend evening.

First up are the PASS South super late models. The southern superstars make their only Ace Speedway appearance of 2011 on Friday evening July 1.The fast North Carolina 4/10 mile facility is the perfect venue for the ultra quick PASS South race cars. Andy Loden is the defending race winner, topping 2010 PASS South Champion Preston Peltier and Jimmy Weller in the process.

PERLEY, ROCCO, STOEHR, & WRENN SCORE CARQUEST EXTREME TUESDAY FEATURE WINS AT STAFFORD MOTOR SPEEDWAY

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Tuesday night, June 28th, was the 8th annual
CARQUEST Extreme Tuesday program at Stafford Motor Speedway. Chris Perley
won the 50-lap ISMA Supermodified feature, Russ Stoehr won the 30-lap NEMA
Midget feature event, and Norm Wrenn made it four wins in a row at Stafford
by taking the 25-lap Pro-4 Modified feature event. In the CARQUEST
Champions For Charities event, Keith Rocco took the checkered flag but the
real winner was charity as the 14 champion drivers raised over $40,000 for

BARRE, Vt. – Brian Hoar of Williston, Vt., finished sixth in the Carquest VT Governor’s Cup 100 at Thunder Road International Speedbowl in Barre, Vt., on Sunday, June 26. Hoar, who was driving the No. 6 Merchants Bank Ford for Thunder Road regular Cris Michaud, started deep in the field and used some late-race confusion on the part of some competitors to inch closer to the front at the finish. Hoar got the call to drive after the non-ACT Late Model Tour race was originally rained out on Thursday, June 23, leaving Michaud unable to compete due to a family conflict.

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway and First Niagara are teaming up
to help victims of the recent Massachusetts tornado. As part of the First
Niagara Independence Day Fireworks Celebration this Friday night, Stafford
Speedway will be collecting donation items at the main gate that will be
used to assist Massachusetts residents who were affected by the tornado.
Stafford Speedway is offering a special deal for fans who bring a donation
item with them to the track this Friday night. Any adult who brings a
donation item with them to the track this Friday night will receive $3.00
off an Adult General Admission ticket for the First Niagara Independence Day
Fireworks Celebration.

Hudson Race Report for June 26th

Hudson N.H. – Two time Rookie Stock champion Scotty Duval won his first feature of the 2011 racing
season in the Rookie Stocks at Hudson International Speedway this past Sunday June 26th.

Duval started on the outside pole and got past pole sitter Roger Tangauy in the opening laps.
Duval had a rear bumper full of Corrie Merritt for most of the race and held off multiple challenges from
Merritt. A caution with three laps remaining tightened the field for a restart. After the restart Duval
retained the lead and Jerry Lepage got by Merritt and knocked on Duvals bumper but wasn’t able to
make a pass and had to settle for second place. Third through tenth were Merritt, Bill Heliwell, John
Morin Jr., Dave Heliwell, Dan Murphy Jr., Charles Roberto, Roger Tanguay and Mike Mchugh. Bill
Heliwell and Merritt won the heats. Slika Ennis finished last in the feature. (more…)
