KANSAS CITY, Kan.—Stretching his fuel mileage to the maximum, Brad Keselowski coasted across the finish line to win Sunday’s STP 400 at Kansas Speedway.
In winning his first Sprint Cup race of the season and the second of his career, Keselowski got 57 green-flag laps out of his last tank of fuel. Keselowski prevented runner-up Dale Earnhardt Jr., his old boss at JR Motorsports, from ending a drought that reached 106 races.

South Plattsburgh, NY – George Foley of Saranac Lake started 14th in a 30-car field of Ernie’s Discount Tools DIRTcar Modifieds and wound up in the winner’s circle after passing upset-minded Cameron Grady with two laps to go Saturday at Airborne Speedway. Foley’s win came after Chuck Hossfeld won the Della Auto Group 100 in the Race of Champions Asphalt Modifieds’ inaugural Airborne appearance.
Grady, the polesitter, was looking for his first career win in the Andy Kane Automotive No. 27. He led the first 27 laps through two restarts and finished fourth. Pat McGrail of Candiac, QC, who ran in the top five all night, was the runner-up. Patrick Dupree advanced steadily by running strong, top or bottom, to claim third. Daniel Brown of Sutton, QC was fifth. Positions 6-10 went to Kris Vernold, Andy Heywood, Craig Reyell, Martin Roy and Don Scarborough. (more…)
Oxford, ME – Winthrop, Maine’s Jeff White earned his first career American Canadian Tour win in dominant fashion at his hometrack of Oxford Plains Speedway on Saturday, June 4. White led all but three laps in the Big JAB 150 while battling with seven time and defending ACT Champion Brian Hoar.
Hoar held on for second followed by Brent Dragon, Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. and another Oxford regular TJ Brackett rounding out the top five. Shawn Martin completed the three Oxford regulars in the top ten with a sixth. Wayne Helliwell was the biggest mover in the 150 lap event as he came all the way from 32nd to finished seventh. Eric Chase, Jeff Labrecque, Jr., and 2010 ACT Rookie of the Year Brad Babb completed the top ten. (more…)

OXFORD, Me. – Brent Dragon of Milton, Vt., scored his first podium finish of the 2011 ACT Late Model Tour season with a third-place finish in The Big Jab 150 at Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, Maine on Saturday, June 4. Dragon qualified well in his heat race and started the feature in the sixth position. Patience paid off as Dragon spent most of the 150-lap race in the fifth position, allowing him to make a final push in the closing laps of The Big Jab 150 to bring home a third place finish.

OXFORD, Maine – Brian Hoar of Williston, Vt., captured his third Top-3 in four ACT Late Model Tour starts this season with a second-place finish in The Big Jab 150 at Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, Maine, on Saturday, June 4. Hoar’s strong third-place finish in his heat race gave him the outside pole of the main feature. Hoar had a few strong side-by side runs with pole-sitter and eventual winner Jeff White, but settled for the second-place finish. Hoar was able to add to his ACT Late Model Tour standings lead as he pursues a record eighth championship with RPM Motorsports.

Dominates K&N Pro Series East race at Bowman Gray
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Matt DiBenedetto made getting around the tight oval at historic Bowman Gray Stadium look easy.
The 19-year-old from Grass Valley, Calif., led every lap of the Army Strong 150 Saturday night en route to his first win of 2011 and third career NASCAR K&N Pro Series East career. Saturday’s race was the first for the series at the venerable quarter-mile track that is steeped in NASCAR history.
