Morin sweeps Pro finals in Plattsburgh for East Coast Snocross Series,

PLATTSBURGH, NY (Jan. 10, 2011) – Quebec native Mathieu Morin put in one of the biggest performances of his eastern snocross career this past weekend, sweeping the Pro finals at Plattsburgh’s Crete Civic Center as East Coast Snocross (ECS) completed Round 2 on the nine-race 2011 campaign.

Morin, of Val-D’Or, fought tooth-and-nail with fellow Canadian Dave Allard in Sunday’s Pro Open final. After grabbing the Holeshot, Morin led the first nine laps until Allard snuck by with a slick move coming off Turn 2.

KDD NAPA of Bradford will once again host the opening night at Bear Ridge Speedway in 2011.

KDD NAPA of Bradford has been a long standing supporter of the Ridge, and management at the Ridge is proud to have the team at NAPA joining us once again for the forty fourth consecutive racing season at the Ridge. Opening night is scheduled for Saturday May 7th with a full card of racing on hand for the fans. Included will be the Sportsman Modifieds, Sportsman Coupes, Fast Fours, Ridge Runner Hornets, Hornet Queens, and the Stinging Hornets.

ACT NEW SMYRNA FIELD ADDS FORD POWER WITH LATEST ENTRIES

Waterbury, VT – The battle for the Goodyear Speedweeks Cup just got tougher with the announcement from the American Canadian Tour (ACT) that three of the powerhouse Ford teams in ACT will make the trip to the sunshine state for the first ever New Smyrna Speedway (NSS) World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing.

Joey Polewarcyzk, Jr. (Pole) from Hudson, NH was the hottest driver on the ACT at the end of 2010. His wins at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) ACT Invitational last September were followed up with a $15,000 payday at the Peoples United Bank Milk Bowl at Thunder Road Speedbowl in Barre, VT. Pole finished the touring season with a stunning performance in the 150-lap closer at the Waterford Speedbowl in Connecticut.
